American professional golfer Tiger Woods is lucky to be alive!
As one of the greatest golfers of all time, he has gone through a series of injuries in previous years, which led to several surgeries.
To celebrate his life and endurance, his daughter Sam Woods gave a heartfelt speech at her father’s World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Tiger Woods’ Daughter Recalls Tragic Car Crash During His Induction Ceremony

During the ceremony, held in Florida on Wednesday, Sam gave an introductory speech where she honored him for bouncing back to his old self after all the challenges he has faced.
PEOPLE reported that she spoke about the terrifying moment she and her family hopefully waited for the athlete’s return from the hospital following last year’s car crash. Sam said:
“We did not know if you’d come home with two legs or not. Now, you’re not only about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you’re standing here on your own two feet. This is why you deserve this.”
The star’s daughter described the tragedy as one of Tiger’s “ultimate lows,” she further called him a fighter as he defied the odds every time.
The car crash occurred last February in Southern California, on Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes border. Tiger’s vehicle went through several hits before landing on the other part of the road.
The unfortunate incident caused the golfer to suffer major orthopedic injuries to his right leg, including fractures in his tibia and fibula bones.

After the accident, The Blast reported that Alex Villanueva, Los Angeles County Sheriff, ruled speed as the cause of the accident, and mentioned that there were “no signs of impairment.” However, charges were not filed against the sportsman.
Tiger was driving over 80 MPH in a 45 MPH area, and he was reported to have lost control of his car as he gained speed in the course of the crash.
However, the sheriff’s department did not reveal full details as they failed to pull the 46-year-old’s blood samples or his phone records to determine the severity of the situation.
Tiger was fortunate to be alive and still have his legs as he detailed the surgery he went through after the accident.
The five-time Masters champion revealed, “Those operations were one thing, that’s one level, then you add the back, that’s another level.”
He continued, “And then with this right leg, that was…it’s hard to explain how difficult it has been just to be immobile for the three months, just lay there and I was just looking forward to getting outside.”
The icon could not guarantee his playing again as his golf activity had been restricted. He could only go through the minimal motions and not the longer ones. However, he was still working.
The World Golf Hall Of Fame Inductee Has Returned To Golf After Fatal Accident

Following the great golfer’s car crash, he made a glorious return to the golf course by closing the year with his participation in a PNC championship: a contest involving golf champions and their family members.
As The Blast recounted, he announced his return on December 8, where he expressed his excitement to be back in the game after a long, trying year.
He mentioned he would be competing in the championship with his son, Charlie, and was proud to be playing as a dad.
The 12-year-old had a hand in motivating the champion through his recovery process after the accident. The loving father used to watch his son play at tournaments and get impressed.
Tiger previously spoke about his future in the golf world as he told Golf Digest that he would not be playing full-time again.
He said, “never full time, ever again-but pick and choose.” However, he would select a few events every year to be involved in.
The skilled sportsman had lowered his expectations and believed he did not need to compete with golf champions to live the best life.
The California native appreciated those who supported and loved him through his recovery, including the White House. He also mentioned that being a sportsman or sportswoman involved injuries.
