Travis Scott is rising from the ashes of the Astroworld tragedy and taking action to make sure such a devastating incident doesn’t happen again.
The famous rapper took to Instagram to announce a new initiative he has been working on to spread some hope and love.
Travis Scott Announces PROJECT HEAL
In a new Instagram post, the “SICKO MODE” rapper launched project HEAL, “a multi-tier initiative dedicated to addressing challenges facing today’s youth, especially those from marginalized at-risk communities.”
Project HEAL partners with Cactus Jack Foundation to unite initiatives that focus on social issues such as “academic scholarships, free mental health resources, a creative design center, and a first-ever, tech-driven solution for event safety.”
As explained in the post, the four key pillars of the initiative are:
- Waymon Webster HBCU Scholarship Fund
- Expansion of CACT.US Youth Design Center
- Mental Health Resources
- US Conference of Mayors and Tech-Driven Solutions for Event Safety.
Alongside the slideshow detailing information about Project Heal, Scott wrote a heartwarming message that began, “Over the past few months I’ve been taking the time and space to grieve, reflect and do my part to heal my community. Most importantly, I want to use my resources and platform moving forward towards actionable change.”
The Houston, Texas rapper declared that pursuing actionable change would be a “lifelong journey” for him and his family. Scott, who was blamed for staying silent and evading accountability during the Astroworld festival, then called out corporations and institutions for staying in the shadows.
However, he shared his plan to be different and always step up in times of need as “a leader in my community.” Scott continued:
My team and I created Project HEAL to take much needed action towards supporting real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can possibly be. I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who remain in my heart forever.
Fans Celebrate Scott’s New Initiative
Concluding his statement, Scott noted that creating opportunities for youth has always been a cause dear to his heart. He described Project HEAL as a “catalyst to real change.”
Scott signed off, letting fans know that he couldn’t wait to introduce more ideas and technology he and his team have worked on.

Proving to be a leader, Scott has reportedly donated $5 million towards Project HEAL to kickstart the initiative.
Fans received the news with mixed reactions, with many praising the father-of-two for creating a good initiative. One fan urged, “Turn that pain into purpose,” while another lauded, “this is the best response. Actions speak louder than words.”
Another comment read, “This is why I never stopped being a fan… he’s human just like everyone else and also needed time to grieve and figure out what to do. This is a great step towards helping the community. Always gonna be a fan.”
Many users urged the rapper not to take fault for anything that happened at the music festival.
However, all the remarks weren’t positive, with many insinuating Scott launched the initiative in anticipation of his upcoming music project.
One user remarked, “gotta clear his name before the album drops,” while another asked, “why is it hard to apologize then?”
Many others claimed Scott’s statement wasn’t written by him, crediting Kris Jenner for working hard behind the scenes.
Kylie Jenner Honored Scott With Son’s Birth
Scott’s new initiative comes almost a month after he and his partner Kylie Jenner welcomed their second child, a boy, as The Blast covered.

Kylie broke the news of their son’s birth on February 6 with a black and white photo and a caption that revealed their baby boy was born on February 2.
A few days after the bundle of joy arrived, Kylie shared their son’s name as Wolf Webster. However, according to Wolf’s birth certificate, the little one’s full name is Wolf Jacques Webster, honoring his father.
Per reports, Scott’s birth name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, and his son’s middle name is clearly a tribute to him. How heartwarming!
