Jana Kramer's Beau Shares Thoughts On Dating A Celebrity

Having a celebrity as a partner can make one feel like they live polar opposite lifestyles, as seen with Jana Kramer's boyfriend, Ian Schinelli.

Kramer announced their relationship earlier this year, shortly after parting ways with her estranged husband of six years, Mike Caussin.

In a recent interview, the partner to the "The Holiday Fix-Up" actress got candid about the ins and outs of dating a Hollywood personality.

On Sunday, March 6, Schinelli appeared as a guest on Kramer's "Whine Down!" podcast for the first time to discuss relationships.

Pen pals Shawn Johnson East and her husband, Andrew, joined the couple to have raw conversations about the dating experience. In a talk about what it has been like for Schinelli to have a girlfriend who is in the spotlight, he said:

"It's been different. It's been really good, but I don't get caught up with the limelight of stuff like that."

Johnson asked the first-time guest what the most challenging part of dating the "One Tree Hill" actress is, and he responded, "It's two very different personalities and two very different lifestyles."

Kramer agreed with her beau and highlighted some of their differences, such as how he turns in for the night early and rises around three or four in the morning.

The celebrity girlfriend, on the other hand, has a much different schedule. Schinelli noted that these minor things encourage them to understand each other's desires in their relationships. He added:

"Little things like that, we're kind of getting used to each other it's not a boundary, it's just more understanding her needs, my needs… We didn't address those right away, and it was definitely a difficult thing to get to, and once we finally got to it, it was like, I need this in my day and my week, and she needs this in her day and her week."

Teamwork makes the dream work as the lovebirds shared that they understood their needs and wants following a four-hour walk where they communicated all their thoughts.

Earlier in the episode, Kramer touched on her desire for privacy in her current dating life due to her previous high-profile romances.

In early January, The Blast disclosed that the "Love At First Bark" actress had found her soulmate, in the person of Schinelli, after an unhappy history with love and romance.

The personal trainer is not as famous as his country singer beau, but it did not matter to the lovebirds.

Kramer took to her Instagram page to make their partnership official with a carousel of their heartwarming photos. She also touched on healing from her former marriage to Caussin, an alleged sex addict.

The "Soccer Mom Madam" actress noted that she still had more work to be done as regards her healing, but it was wonderful to find true love along the way. She wrote in her caption:

"To find someone who doesn’t look at your scars as a challenge or problem but rather helps you hold them and stands there to encourage you with love, strength, and empathy along the way."

Kramer noted that she tried playing the dating field following her divorce from Caussin in 2021, but things never worked out. Now she has stumbled into love with the personal trainer.

The country music singer explained that she stopped denying what her heart was telling her about Schinelli and chose to listen to it instead. The couple also bonded over being single parents.

Schinelli supported his partner when she took another giant leap towards moving on from her past by getting baptized.

In January, The Blast disclosed that the "Heart of The Country" actress walked into her new faith at the Crosspoint Church in Franklin, Tenn.

Kramer documented the experience on Instagram on Sunday, January 23, with a slideshow of images and clips. One video showed her getting dipped backward in a water bath and emerging with a smile.

In another image, Kramer carried a frame with the capitalized words, "I got baptized today! January 23, 2022." Also present with her were her loved ones, including her daughter Jolie Rae and son Jace Joseph.

The mother-of-two captioned the post with, "This is my battle cry. This is the day I stopped walking alone. The beauty is …I was never alone. He was always walking with me…I just didn’t think I deserved that."
