Sandra Lee Shares Hysterectomy Details With Followers
This was day three of the chef’s post-surgery updates and she admits it has been a rough one. “Yesterday (my 3 day) was quite aggressive,” she shared. The 55-year-old prefaced her post pointing out what we can all agree on, “Surgery is never fun.”

Ben Youcef Is So Attentive To Sandra Lee
“Poor Ben didn’t know what to do,” admitted the Food Network alum. But that didn’t stop him from instinctively going to the basics. “Rubbing my back, holding my hair back when I was bent over the sink, trying to get me to drink or eat or anything. Was not an easy day for either of us.”
Lee dived into how the eventful day went down. By 5 I was on my way to the hospital —-of course. The head of ER (who I love) said I had some kind of infection, and my kidneys were only working at 30% (from being overly dehydrated I guess).”
Further shocking fans with the admittance of failing kidneys, Lee notes that undergoing surgery always has unexpected effects on the body.
How Did Sandra Lee Deal With The Nausea?
Optimism mostly. The blond admits that while the nausea was overwhelming she dealt with it the old fashion way. “Once they got the IV in, wonderful anti-nausea meds I felt much better,” she shared. Plus, Youcef dotted on her (who doesn’t want that?).

She encouraged her followers to explore while they can. and never allow age or surgery to hold you back from living a life “full of adventure”.
Just a few days earlier, the TV personality shared with fans that she would be undergoing this surgery nearly seven years after her double mastectomy. While she meant to do it earlier, COVID-19 got in the way.

Sandra Lee The Former First Girlfriend
Lee underwent the crucial, life-saving double mastectomy while she was still former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. During this time, she was often referred to as the “first girlfriend” of NY state because she and Cuomo were not married a little bit of an archaic faux pas rearing its ugly head in the modern-day.
After the breakup, she moved on to Youcef, 43 in 2021, and again finds herself dealing with another serious surgery while in another important relationship. “Fast forward to now, during a routine appointment with my gynecologist, she noticed a change in some of my cells,” Lee shared ahead of her surgery announcement on IG.
However, admiring other women who shared their stories she wanted to do the same and went public.
“Over the last few years, I have watched and admired the grace of other women who went public with their own health decision while I sat on the sidelines in awe and with a bit of fear.” Not anymore notes Lee.
Her story could help someone else!
