Singer Josh Groban is turning 41 today!
The American singer-songwriter was born Joshua Winslow Groban in Los Angeles, California, on February 27, 1981. In addition to his vocal talent, he is also an actor, musician, and record producer.

Josh Groban is well-known for his iconic vocals and has become one of the best-selling artists worldwide with over 25 million records sold internationally as of 2012. His first four solo albums have been certified multi-platinum and he was listed as the number-one best-selling artist in the United States in 2007 after he sold 22.3 million records.
Although he originally studied acting, he later moved into singing. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, which is a free public school on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles, where students receive a conservatory-style education. While he was studying there, David Foster asked him to stand in for Andrea Bocelli and rehearse “The Prayer” with Celine Dion for the rehearsal for the 1998 Grammy Awards. Afterward, Rosie O’Donnell immediately invited him to appear on her talk show. A year later, Foster asked him to sing at California Governor Gray Davis’ 1999 inauguration ceremony. He was later cast on “Ally McBeal” by the show’s creator, David E. Kelley, where he performed “You’re Still You” for the season 4 finale in 2001.
After appearing in two runs of the musical “Chess,” Groban made his Broadway debut in 2016 as Pierre Bezukhov in Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812. His role earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical in 2017. He also earned two Primetime Emmy nominations for his performance at the 72nd Tony Awards. One nomination was for Outstanding Live Variety Special and the other was for Original Music and Lyrics for the song “This One’s For You.”
Groban has also appeared in several acting roles over the years. He co-starred as Tony Caruso Jr. in the Netflix original series, “The Good Cop” and also appeared in the films “Coffee Town,” “Muppets Most Wanted,” “The Hollars,” and “Crazy Stupid Love.” He also appeared in TV shows like “The Crazy Ones” as Danny Chase and as Walter Bernard Jr. on “The Office.” He also served as the host of “Rising Star.”
