The BTS fans, as in ARMY, should be pleased as BTS Merch dropped on Nordstrom this Friday, produced by HYBE.
Since it's a limited production run, Nordstorm may be running out of the new BTS merch as soon they went up, but then again, the BTS craze is here to stay even if the merch is not. Here's what's happening with the world's fav K-pop boy band.
BTS Scores Another Win
On Thursday, February 24, BTS added another feather to its hat by winning the global recording artist of the year award for 2021 from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
The K-pop boy band won the same award in 2020 as well, so they have become the first group/artist to win this award consecutively. Taylor Swift and Drake are the other two-time winners of the award but there's was not a consecutive win.
Interestingly, the BTS single "Butter" is almost a year old and shows no signs of going off the Billboard chart: Hot Trending Songs chart, a ranking of songs that are trending on Twitter mentions.
To milk the song more, the BTS collection has some "Butter" love to offer too.

The Nordstrom BTS Merch Collection Is Gender Inclusive
Most of the BTS-themed goodies at Nordstrom are gender-inclusive, so the BTS Army does not have to think twice about it. The apparel includes tees, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and hats. In the fray are BTS-themed stickers, cups, magnets, notebooks, blankets, towels, flags, snow globes, keychains, pens, and more.

The collection is a sell-out and Nordstorm is likely facing a buying frenzy at its stores since the collection comes inspired by BTS' hit songs like “Butter,” “Boy With Luv,” “DNA,” “Dynamite,” and “Mic Drop.”
The merch comes only days after the K-pop band announced extended dates for the "Permission to Dance" tour, which will light up Las Vegas on April 8. BTS will play four nights at Sin City’s Allegiant Stadium.
The live broadcast event, "Live Play in Las Vegas" will happen at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and for international fans, streaming will go up only on the last day of the tour, on April 16th.

What Are Jungkook And Jin Up To?
Jungkook's solo career also seems to be taking off, with his new single "Stay Alive" topping Japanese music charts like Oricon, Line Music, and RecoChoku Music Chart. "Stay Alive" is ranking in the top 10s and top 100s.

Meanwhile, BTS may also lose a member, at least for a year and a half, to military service. In South Korea, every man is required to serve in the military for a year and a half, and the K-Pop boys are not exempt from the same.
Sometimes, the leading men of movies and music can postpone military service until they turn 30, via an application. But eldest member Jin will be turning 30 soon and will have to trade in his dapper suits for a khaki green military uniform.

Jin had been granted permission to defer military service under the law till he was 30, as the seven members were honored with the Hwangan Order Of Culture by President Moon Jae-In in 2021.
