Aaron Rodgers may have had a rough start to 2022, but he isn’t letting the difficult moments get in the way of what really matters!

The Green Bay Packers quarterback experienced a professional setback in January after his team lost a chance to compete in the 2022 NFL Super Bowl. The loss came in the midst of much discussion surrounding Rodgers’ personal life, particularly his relationship with his fiancée, actress Shailene Woodly, and his views surrounding COVID-19 vaccinations.

Woodley and Rodgers announced their engagement last year, shortly after it was revealed the pair were even dating! However, reports of the couple’s split began surfacing earlier this month, and Woodley was recently seen in public without her engagement ring.
The couple had kept their relationship largely under wraps, but Rogers gave the world a giant glimpse into how he and his now ex-fiancée are navigating their split, on Monday night.
Aaron Gets Grateful

In his Instagram post, the usually pretty tight-lipped Rodgers opened up and expressed gratitude for the key components in his life.
He posted a series of photos featuring a number of his Packers teammates and his “Friday crew,” but perhaps the most intriguing photo of all kicks off his photo set: Rodgers posted an intimate photo of he and Woodley cuddling, and included a lengthy tribute to her in the caption of his post. Talk about a truly amicable break-up!
A Moment Of Reflection

In his tribute, Rodgers wrote, “thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally catch up to you and be a part of your life. Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you.”
Rodgers’ public declaration for Woodley is the only photo where the couple is featured together on his feed. He had previously reposted an Instagram Live video from April of 2021, where he and his then-girlfriend expressed their love for Jeopardy and answered questions about the show and his hosting opportunity earlier in the Spring.
Nothing But Kindness

The Greenbay Packers star’s gratitude-fueled shout-out can now be added to the archive of incredibly sweet things the former couple said about one another throughout their relationship! Woodley had happily confirmed their engagement during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” last year.
She joked, “I’ve been reading that too,” after Fallon mentioned hearing about engagement rumors.
Rodgers also publicly showered his former fiancée with love. According to Access Hollywood, he had spoken very highly about the prospect of fatherhood and revealed it was “Something I really look forward to…” and called the opportunity “A really fun challenge.”
Are The Pair Really Broken Up?

While no explicit confirmation has been given from either Rodgers or Woodley, the internet’s radar went up after Rodgers appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” on February 22nd, and had some interesting takes on the current state of his relationship with Woodley!
During the live stream, Rodgers spoke in-depth about and debunked the common notion in sports of a player’s significant other having a negative effect on their performance.
After McAfee mentioned Woodley by name, Rodgers had a lot to say about the actress and their relationship. Among his praise for Woodley, he said, “I think that living a life of gratitude is such an important way to keep that joy in your life… When you meet your person, life just changes, and you can’t possibly not be changed being around those special people that we meet.”
Whether Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers have officially called it quits or not, they have both shown they are able to treat each other in a highly respectable way! Being able to speak kindly about an ex could definitely be seen as scoring a ‘touch down’ within a relationship if we do say so ourselves!
