Zoë Kravitz gave a hint about her relationship with Channing Tatum.
The daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet got candid on her romance with the "21 Jump Street" actor, 41, during her interview for the March cover of ELLE.
Zoë Kravitz Thinks Channing Tatum Was Perfect For Her Movie
The "Big Little Lies" star, 33, revealed that she had never met Tatum prior to filming her directorial debut, "Pussy Island," a genre thriller that Kravitz wrote with E.T. Feigenbaum.
Tatum plays the billionaire lead, tech mogul Slater King, in the film, and Kravitz thought he would be "brave enough" to take on the role.
"Looking at his work and hearing him speak about Magic Mike and the live show, I’m like, I think he’s a feminist," she said of Tatum. "You need to be so far from who this is, where it’s not scary. And I don’t think we’ve ever seen him play someone dark. I’m excited to see him do that."
Going Strong?
Last summer, Kravitz was spotted holding hands with Tatum while strolling around New York City.
While she didn't go into details about their relationship, she said, "I'm happy."
Steven Soderbergh, the director of Kravitz's new thriller "Kimi" predicted the duo's vibe on set, saying, "I’m assuming they’re going to have fun, but if you’re in any sort of a couple and you go into an endeavor like this, all bets are off."
Positive Outlook On Love & Life
When asked whether she's still optimistic about love, the "High Fidelity" star said she feels "optimistic about life, and I think that comes hand in hand with it."
She continued, "All my relationships in life—my friendships, my romantic relationships, my family—the journey is learning how to show up honestly. Sometimes we can’t show up, and that’s okay as long as we know how to communicate that we love those people. That’s the 20-year-old who’s like, ‘I can do it all. I can do it all. I can do it all.’ And now I’m in a place where whatever I’m feeling is okay, wherever I’m at is okay."
An Aspiring Musician

Apart from making a new movie, Kravitz has also started a career in music. She finds solace in writing -- an activity that helps her process her feelings. Her upcoming solo album is in the making with the help of her producer friend Jack Antonoff.
"It feels vulnerable, and it’s a little scary, but making music makes me happy," Kravitz said of her songs, which are mostly about love and loss.
In September, Kravitz opened up about the range of emotions she was experiencing while writing and recording the album.
"I wrote it over a long stretch of time, subconsciously just capturing this range of emotions, which has been interesting to look back on and see what I was writing about them, then and now and in between," she explained to Another Magazine. "It’s personal. It’s about love and loss."
Kravitz continued, "I got married. I got divorced. Separations, break-ups are sad but are beautiful things too," adding, "It’s about the bittersweetness, that beginning and that end. It’s so complex, that space, when you’re in between heartbroken and mourning the loss of something and excited for what’s ahead of you."
Moving On From Her Ex
Kravtiz and Glusman finalized their divorce in August 2021, just eight months after she filed, and just a year and a half after they tied the knot.
The former couple married in June 2019 at her dad's Parisian residence in a star-studded ceremony.
Since her separation from Glusman, Kravtiz has been spending time with Tatum. The pair were first linked in August, with a source confirming their romance:
"Zoë and Channing are dating," the insider told ET. "It started out as a friendship and eventually turned out to be more."
Going Instagram Official
The "Magic Mike XXL" star and the "Divergent" actress attended a Met Gala after-party together. A few days later, he shared his first public photo with Kravitz.
"This night!" Tatum wrote on an Instagram Story that showed him and Kravitz posing alongside Alicia Keys and Moses Sumney at the Alicia Keys & Cincoro Tequila after-party at Casa Cipriani. "No body wanted to trifle with us on the dance floor music and vibe was next level. Thank you @aliciakeys."
