The Shooting Started With A Fight

On Saturday morning, around 2:45 a.m local time, several individuals were standing outside The Nice Guy, the restaurant where the party was held. According to TMZ, these individuals included Black and rappers Gunna and Lil Baby.

They were all smiling and talking until someone in the group of men standing with Black got jumped by an unknown assailant. Black then swung at someone, and the next thing witnesses heard was several gunshots.

The Los Angeles Police Department quickly responded to the scene and later told The Hollywood Reporter that the ages of the injured men were 19, 24, and 60. They also confirmed that “multiple rounds were fired.”

It Was Later Revealed That Black Was Shot

Paramedics with the L.A. Fire Department then moved the two victims to hospitals while two additional victims took themselves to other victims. So far, all the victims are in stable condition with their wounds.

The Shooter Is Still Unidentified

In their twitter press release, the LAPD wrote that the gunshots were fired by a yet to be identified suspect, who then ran from the location and headed south. In addition, they described the suspect as a Black male.

It is not yet clear if the shooter was the same person who initially attacked the man in Black’s camp or the same person that Black fought. It is possible that three separate people worked together and that there were multiple shooters.

TMZ posted footage of the incident that revealed another angle to the events. In the video, fans can see a man wearing a black hoodie who seems to be holding an object that looks like a pistol. Just as the shots rang out, the man was seen pointing the object in the direction of Black and his crew.
