In 2009, Flay teamed up with Henry Smith of CBS to talk about his tips and tricks to creating an amazing Super Bowl menu!

“Here’s my feeling about Super Bowl food,” Flay began. “Don’t get fancy on it. What’s Super Bowl? Well, there’s chili and there’s chips and stuff and stuff like that, but you know, sandwiches and chicken wings have got to be part of your Super Bowl Sunday. You gotta hunker down in front of the TV and you’ve gotta have the right kind of food.”

Everyone has to have wings on Super Bowl Sunday! Flay recommends his chicken wings with red hot honey glaze and blue cheese-celery dipping sauce. The sauce is also amazing with chips so fans can make a double batch to serve with both!

For the wings, Flay combines hot sauce, honey, butter, and red wine vinegar. After brushing the wings with the sauce and seasoning with a little bit of salt and pepper, he grills the wings on each side until cooked through.

For the sauce, the Food Network star whisks together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, Worcestershire sauce, celery, crumbled blue cheese, chives, salt, and pepper. He covers and refrigerates the dip thirty minutes before serving to give those flavors a chance to come together!

Bobby Flay Makes Steak Sliders For His Super Bowl Guests!

If you’re a fan of cooking with few ingredients, then this recipe is definitely for you! Flay heats up the grill and mixes butter and a garlic puree together before seasoning it with salt and pepper. He brushes one side of thick-sliced French bread with the butter and grills until golden brown. Then he flips it over, tops it with a sliced of aged provolone cheese, and grills it until the cheese melts.

After he’s done, he places the bread on a platter and tops the cheese with a few thin slices of thinly-sliced boneless rib-eye steak before finishing the dish with a drizzle of parsley oil, which is made by fixing parsley and oil together and then finishing with salt and pepper.

To cook the steak, Flay sets his grill to high. After coating the meat with oil, salt, and pepper, he cooks it for about four to five minutes per side to get it to medium-rare. After it's done cooking, he lets it rest for five minutes before slicing to help the meat retain its juice.
