Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has you covered if you're planning on hosting any big Super Bowl parties this year!

This year's Super Bowl event features a tight race between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cinncinati Bengals. Although some fans are excited to see the big game, others are excited to see the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which has scheduled Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige to perform.

Whether you're watching for the game, the Halftime Show, or even just the commercials, the Food Network "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" star has you covered on how to throw the best Super Bowl party Ever!

Guy Fieri sat down with Delish to talk about how to throw an amazing party and the first thing he suggested was to invite plenty of people over - even fans of the opposing team!

According to Guy, that friendly competition (as long as it stays friendly!) can help make the Super Bowl party that much more exciting and engaging for everyone involved!

Step 2: Prepare All Of Your Food Ahead Of Time!

If you're worried about missing out on all of the best plays because you're in the kitchen trying to make sure the sauce for your buffalo wings doesn't burn, Guy has a solution: just make it all in advance and heat it up later!

"We want to make these great menus, and we want to have all this uniqueness, and we want to make sure that people are entertained with the food," Guy said. "And what do we end up doing? A couple people like me end up in the kitchen the entire time cooking, missing the game and the banter."

He recommends using easy ingredients that can be customized later. For example, buying sandwich rolls in bulk and then customizing them with different fillings that can be heated up later!

Step 3: Make Sure You Have Plenty Of Variety In Your Super Bowl Menu!

There are definitely some staples that all Super Bowl parties have: chips, dig, wings, pizza, and the like. However, if you want to keep your guests happy on game day, Guy recommends that you ditch anything pre-bought at the store and make everything from scratch!

"I walk into somebody's house and I see one of those big sandwiches from a grocery store laid out, I know that that thing was made yesterday. There's no way they made it today," he said. "I know that as soon as all those meats, all those cold cuts come together, they're going to just start tasting like one flavor."

To help add some variety to your dishes, Guy recommends that hosts offer a mix of both hot and cold sandwiches. He also recommends offering vegetarian, plant-based, and gluten-free options to make sure that your guests are able to eat the food you're presenting! Asking everyone about their dietary preferences and allergies ahead of the game will help everyone feel a lot more comfortable and prevent any last-minute awkwardness around the chip table!

Step 4: Don't Try To Get Too Creative With Your Dishes!

As we said before, sometimes it's best to just stick to what works, like chips and wings. One food that Guy says is absolutely off-limits when you go to a Super Bowl party? Soup.

"Soup is not a great game day food," Guy said. "I mean, don't get me wrong. I'll take some bouillabaisse, and I'll take some chowder, but people like festive food. People like to nosh on game day."

He recommended sticking with food that is easy for people to eat with their hands. No one wants to miss a great play while they're running to the kitchen to get an extra spoon!

What Is Guy Fieri Cooking Up On Game Day?

For his own Super Bowl party, Guy Fieri is going to be cooking up a batch of his famous Motley Que Pulled Pork Sliders.

In addition to the buns, fans just need BBQ sauce, pulled pork, cheddar cheese slices, julienned pineapple, slaw mix, pickles, crispy onions, and plenty of spices!

After rinsing and drying the pork shoulder, Fieri coats the meat with spices and puts it in a smoker for 6-8 hours until tender (read: don't wait until the game begins to start cooking!). He also says that you can cook it in the oven at 225 degrees F for 6 to 8 hours if you don't have a smoker.

While that's cooking, he mixes the pineapple and slaw and seasons it with salt, paper, and mayonnaise. He also brushes the inside of his buns with garlic butter and toasts both the top and bottom until they're golden brown on both sides.

To assemble, he places pickles on the bottom of the bun and piles no more than a quarter cup of pulled pork on top. He drizzles each with BBQ sauce before topping with a slice of cheese. Then, he broils the sandwich for 40 seconds, or until the cheese is melted. Then he tops it all off with pineapple slaw, crispy onions, and, of course, the top half of the bun!

Your guests will be demanding the recipe for sure!
