Liam Neeson took another chance on love after losing his wife, Natasha Richardson, in 2009.
The “Taken” actor’s love life has been pretty quiet since her tragic passing.
Richardson died on March 8, 2009, after hitting her head while skiing in Quebec, Canada. Her official cause of death was from an epidural hematoma.
EDH is when blood accumulates between the skull and the dura mater, and is considered a traumatic brain injury.
Liam & Natasha's Love Story Is One For History Books
Neeson and Richardson tied the knot in 1994 and became first-time parents in 1995. Their first-born son is named Micheál. They welcomed their second son, Daniel, 18-months later.
It’s been nearly 12 years since Richardson’s passing, and Neeson hasn’t dated anyone publicly.
However, in a new interview with “Sunrise” the “Schindler’s List” actor opened up about falling in love in Australia.
The actor was living in Melbourne, Australia in 2020 while filming his new film, “Blacklight,” which comes out this month.
During his February 7 interview he said, “I loved Melbourne. I loved our Australian crew, they are fantastic workers. Every department was superb. They were their own people, do you know what I mean? They had a great sense of humor.”

He continued with a grin on his face, “I made a couple of pals, I fell in love, but she was taken.”
Neeson’s confession was shocking and heartbreaking at the same time.
This is kind of the first time we’ve heard the actor open up about his romantic life.
Luckily, the “Sunrise” show hosts are determined to find out who his Aussie mystery woman is.
They’ve asked viewers to help locate the woman who stole Neeson’s heart. “If you know the lady involved, go to the Facebook page. Give us some hints!” show host, David Koch said.
Liam Was A True Romantic
In 2016, the actor shared a message with fans on social media remembering his late wife.
He urged everyone to cherish their partners and to make the most of every day together.
"They say the hardest thing in the world is losing someone you love," he wrote on Facebook, according to CBS. "My wife died unexpectedly. She brought me so much joy. She was my everything. Those 16 years of being her husband taught me how to love unconditionally. We have to stop and be thankful for our spouses. Because, one day, when you look up from your phone, they won't be there anymore. What I truly learned most of all is, live and love everyday like it's your last. Because, one day, it will be."
He also spoke about his late wife’s motherly instinct and how much he loved that.
She cared for everybody," he said. "She has a motherly instinct. And she'd make dinners for everyone and just looked after us all."
The two fell in love on the Broadway set of “Anna Christie” in 1993 while Richardson was still married; however, her marriage was already crumbling when they met.
