The actress, singer, and songwriter, 40, went on Instagram and got candid about being a mom to three beautiful children. She also uploaded a family picture that showed Milian, her husband, French singer Matt Pokora (Matthieu Tota), 36, and their two sons, Isaiah Pokora, 2, Kenna Tota, 9 months. The “Falling Inn Love” star’s eldest daughter, Violet Madison Nash, 11, whom she shares with ex The-Dream (Terius Youngdell Nash), was also present for the photo op.
For privacy reasons, Milian added yellow heart emojis over her younger kids’ faces.
The second picture showed the “When You Look at Me” songstress posing with a big smile on her face while carrying her baby girl with one arm.
She’s A Doting Mom
“Family of 5 coming thru! đ” Milian began.
“Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I canât believe itâs real. Iâm really a mother of 3! (That happened fast, lol)” she continued, adding, “It really is such a blessing. Watching our little people grow motivates me everydayâ sometime to the point Iâm overwhelmed as I wanna get so much done at once for them and for me. But I always remind myself that what Iâm doing IS enough and God doesnât give you more than you can handle.”
Milian also added some advice to her fellow parents: “So to you parents out there balancing parenthood and being the best person you can be to yourself just know youâre not alone and a friendly reminder that YOUâVE GOT THIS! Have a great week! đ”

Milan also explained why she and Pokora decided to keep their children’s identities safe — at least for now.
“To those concerned with the emoji baby facesâ Dad and I are doing our best to protect the boys and give them a chance to grow as normal little babies should,” she noted.” So I hope you understand. Believe me, Iâd love to share their beautiful faces with you and we will one day. But the world can be full of chaos and we prefer not to add that on their plate until we feel comfortable with sharing. Hope you understand. Itâs all love. Just two parents tryna do our best for them and their future.”
Fans Support The Couple’s Decision
Within two hours of posting, the post amassed more than 172,000 likes and over a thousand comments. Some of Milian’s followers agreed about the couple’s decision to protect their kids.
“I understand and love how you protect your boys and even violet I would do the same if I was you â¤ď¸ love your beautiful family,” one commented.
“Your kids = your choices ! No explanation needed ! đđ(Isaiah seems to have mommyâs hairs : đ cutie alert ! đ ),” added a second commenter.
“It’s so sad you have to explain what you prefer. Please do you â¤ď¸ I love those curls and chubby cheeks đ such a cute picture,” remarked the third commenter.
“I do the same with my son. Everyone who needs to see him already has a picture or has seen him in person. We had the luxury of growing up without our faces plastered on social media, and the least I can do is give him that. Plus, it lets you get super creative with poses and cropping. He’s on my pages frequently, it’s just never his face,” a fourth user wrote.

Milian met Pokora at a restaurant in France, and they began dating in August 2017. Although, it didn’t happen by love at first sight. According to E! Newsâs Daily Pop, the manager of the restaurant suggested they talk to each other since theyâre both musicians. At first, she wasnât interested but eventually warmed up to him. The pair welcomed their son Isaiah in January 2020 and their second child in April 2021.
During an interview with Hollywood Life in August 2021, Milian praised Pokora for being a great husband and dad.
“I just try to do what I can,” she said. “The most important thing is to take care of the kids and make sure theyâre eating well, theyâre on a schedule, and itâs tough. Luckily, my partner, my husband is a really great partner in this. For my second and my third Iâve had my husband around helped me, but with my daughter, my mom was there to help me. And then there were times I was on my own, and itâs tough, but you get through it.”
