Julia Fox Cleared The Air About Her And Drake: ‘Nothing Really Happened’

Kanye West and Julia Fox started dating barely two months ago and are very public about their romance. The two were first spotted spending New Year’s Eve together and have spent several nights together since then.

West recently divorced his wife, Kim Kardashian. Although there are reports that the rapper still wants his ex-wife back, the two have seemingly moved past their relationship. West was spotted with several partners before his recent public relationship with Fox.

Fox recently set the record straight concerning her previous relationship with Drake. Before getting together with West, the actress was reportedly involved with the “Hotline Bling” artist. She even stayed in his home for a while. However, Fox revealed that the relationship is not as deep as it seemed.

West isn’t the first celebrity to nag the “Uncut Gems” actress. The actress was reportedly involved with “Certified Lover” artist Drake in 2020. At that time, Fox was still married to Peter Artemiev; however, they were separated with no plans of getting back together.

The Canadian-based rapper reached out to Fox via Instagram in 2019, and the actress replied to his messages. Drake allegedly reached out to compliment her on her role in “Uncut Gems,” which was released that year.

Their romance allegedly led to the rapper flying out to NYC to meet up with Fox. A source revealed that he also bought her two Birkin bags, and the actress spent some time in his Toronto mansion. However, romance for the two was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and Fox’s pregnancy for Peter. A source said, “They were closing the border [between Canada and the US], and she had to get back home.”

Fox is clearing the air about her previous involvement with “Certified Lover” artist Drake. The actress came on the “Forbidden Fruits” podcast and revealed that “nothing really happened” between them.

Although she didn’t go as far as entirely denying any romance between them, she revealed that her new beau Kanye West was aware of the former relationship. Fox said, “He’s a great guy and a gentleman… and that was it. Nothing really happened; we were just, like, friends hanging out. I wouldn’t say that we were dating.”

The “Uncut Gems” actress also mentioned the public issues between Drake and West and claimed that they were a thing of the past. “I feel like they’ve squashed their issues,” she noted. “Obviously, when I first started speaking to Ye, I told him immediately — I think on the first day before it went any further — because I’m just an honest person.”

West and Drake were previously involved in a very public fuel. The two weren’t on good terms for the past decade after an initial conflict between Lil Wayne and Pusha T. Their complicated relationship didn’t spare their loved ones.

There were rumors which involved West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in a compromising position with Drake. The rapper only strengthened the rumors with his 2018 hit, “In My Feelings.” Drake rapped about a woman named Kiki in the song, which is apparently the Kardashian’s nickname. She swiftly dispelled those rumors. “Never happened. End of story,” she wrote.

In November 2021, West said it was finally “time to put it to rest” the feud and demanded a public apology from Drake. The two later made the reunion public when they came on stage together for the “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert a month later. They covered each other’s songs in the concert.

Since West started going out with Fox, they’ve made their relationship as public as possible. The rapper kicked off the relationship by gifting Fox a room full of dresses and is apparently not slowing down on the flashy gifts.

West recently gifted the “Uncut Gems” star and her friends Hermès Birkin bags for her 32nd birthday. He gifted about five Birkins in total, which cost no less than $10,000 each. A source told Page Six that West flew into New York for her birthday and will fly back to continue his album.

The source also said that the couple arrived together and looked very cozy. “He was all smiles. Her friends were also there. It was a big group,” the source said.
