Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike: How True Are The Dating Rumors?

Despite its public acclaim, the series was met with controversial opinions for its graphics and disturbing content.

Recently, there was a trailer released for its second season. It teased plot development and the characters' dilemmas in the new batches of episodes. Also, it features a new addition to the cast.

Zendaya and Schafer explained Dominic Fike's addition to the cast in an interview with Variety. Fike, who was initially a musician, will play Elliot, a love interest for Rue after she relapses and splits with Schafer's Jules.

Zendaya describes feeling concerned about the development but mentioned she changed her mind after seeing that Elliot was a significant part in helping to shape the events of the season.

"I wasn't feeling it — as someone who ships 'Rules' to the bitter end. And I was like, 'whoa, whoa, whoa, what are we doing here? But, in retrospect, and also as someone who understands where the show needs to go and what needs to happen for these characters, it's crucial that Elliot exist and that he be the person that is honestly the catalyst for a lot of things that just have to happen."

Rumors also made rounds that Hunter Schafer was with the new co-star. The pair were spotted together recently, which has led fans to wonder if they were romantically linked.

Schafer and Fike were recently spotted leaving the Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood. They were holding hands, which only furthered the speculation that they were dating. This outing came weeks after the long-awaited debut of the second season of "Euphoria."

Hunter donned an all-black ensemble, including a weather jacket, mini shorts and tights, and a sweatshirt. The transgender person, who uses they/them pronouns, sported a pair of grey mid-calf boots.

On the other hand, Fike wore a black T-Shirt and a brown jacket. He also wore a tight pair of black pants and a matching pair of boots while accessorizing with a single necklace.

They both wore a protective face mask following current health rules and precautions.

"Hunter and Dominic are dating? COUNT ME IN," one fan wrote after viewing the images.

"HUNTER SCHAFER AND DOMINIC FIKE ARE DATING? I JUST FELL TO MY KNEES," another wrote, eager to express their excitement.

"I'm so here for this!" a third person added.

Although the dating rumors aren't confirmed yet, a gossip site posted a scoop of Schafer spotted backstage at one of Fike's gigs and the pair "kissing and dancing."

Since she's relatively new to the public eye, Schafer does not have any dating history to run through. The "Euphoria" actor was previously linked with model Massi Dee but they neither confirmed nor denied their status.

Fike was also previously involved with actress Diana Silver and explained to GQ that they were both in a "promising relationship."

"On our first date, we talked about Paul McCartney, and I hadn't talked about Paul in so long or The Beatles. It kind of manifested the Paul feature. I was trying to make stuff to impress her and work with people that she had heard of. All of a sudden, that s--t happened."

As for Hunter Schafer, a model and LGBTQ activist, her role as Jules in Euphoria has earned the young actress great public approval.

The relationship between Jules and Rue has become one of the highlights of the show – and although it's not clear where things are going with the characters, fans are loving the development in Jules' storyline in recent episodes.

Schafer, who is being applauded for her work on the hit TV show, has been proudly using her platform to speak up on behalf of issues that matter to her.

Fike is an actor, singer, and songwriter who was initially recognized for his musical abilities. In 2020, he released several singles, including "Politics & Violence" and "Chicken Tenders." Following the release of his EP, "Don't Forget About Me, Demos," he got signed on to Columbia Records. Fike's initial album, "What Could Possibly Go Wrong," was released the same month. It topped the charts in 50 countries, including Australia and the United States.

By the year's end, Fike was receiving accolades as a promising young singer/songwriter. He also got on NME's list for essential new artists. In 2022, Fike landed his first significant role as Elliot in "Euphoria."
