The 57th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards has found her host is none other than the National treasure Dolly Parton.
The 76-year-old has been making headlines for decades as a talented singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress, author, and businesswoman. Now, the country music goddess has achieved a new milestone.
For the upcoming ACM Awards ceremony, the superstar was chosen as the next emcee, a post previously held by the country music singer Keith Urban.
Dolly Parton To Host The ACM Awards For The Second Time
On Thursday, February 4, the “Jolene” singer was announced as the host of this year’s ACM Awards ceremony via a post on the organizer’s official Instagram page.
The ACM committee shared a stunning poster of the beloved Country Music Hall of Fame alum, in which the entertainer wore a gorgeous long-sleeved gown intricately designed with sequins and golden patterns.
As per the blonde singer’s signature curly hairstyle, Parton’s locks were styled into a ponytail with curly bangs that framed her face and fell gracefully down her shoulders.
The 76-year-old could easily be mistaken for a younger woman with flawless makeup, glossy pink lips, and gorgeous white teeth, which the country star flashed for the camera.
The “Joyful Noise” actress looked every bit like the Queen she embodied, a sentiment the ACM organizers also shared as they wrote:
“It takes a global superstar to host Country Music’s Party of the Year, so we got the queen! Announcing @DollyParton as host of the 57th #ACMawards!”
In addition, the caption stated that the show would be airing live on March 7, and viewers could enjoy an utterly commercial-free event by streaming the ACM Awards ceremony on Amazon Prime Video.

Naturally, the “9 to 5” artist’s participation in the event was enough to send fans into a frenzy as they flooded the comment section in excitement.
Various celebrities were also delighted about the awards show, such as Cody Alan, the famous host and executive producer of CMT Radio, who expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event by writing, “wow! Can’t wait!!”
The country singer Priscilla Block also shared similar emotions about Parton hosting the prestigious event. However, no one was as excited as the multi-talented goddess.
The “Dolly Parton, Songteller” author shared the same announcement poster on her Instagram page and implored fans not to miss the two-hour show, which would be available for live streaming.
This marked the first time a major awards show was being streamed exclusively and commercial-free on Amazon Prime Video, as well as the second time the “Rhinestone” actress would be hosting the ACM Awards.
The Songwriters Hall of Famer stated in her caption that she was thrilled to return as the event’s emcee, which has been set to hold at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The 11-Time Grammy Winner Was Nominated For 2022’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Aside from hosting the upcoming ACM Awards ceremony, the 76-year-old was having a fantastic year as the Taste Of Country previously reported that the entertainer had achieved a new milestone.
On February 2, Parton’s name appeared on the list of nominees under consideration for induction into 2022’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The “Here I Am” singer was chosen alongside an impressive number of artists such as Lionel Richie, Eminem, Fela Kuti, Kate Bush, Devo, Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Rage Against the Machine, and more.
This marked the first time the “Coat of many colors” author was chosen as a potential candidate for induction due to the entry requirements.
Entertainers were required to have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before their nomination year to be eligible for rock music’s most idolized organization.
However, this year’s ballot included many talented artists, not from the rock genre but who achieved a nomination based on their merits.
According to John Sykes, Chairman of the Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, this year’s nominees were chosen for their contributions to music and “youth culture.” In his words:
“This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture. Their music not only moved generations but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”
