Before A$AP Rocky fell hopelessly in love with the Barbadian beauty Rihanna, he was once smitten by another musical personality.
In 2012, the rapper collaborated with his gorgeous crush Lana Del Rey, who he awarded the title of his dream girl.
As luck would have it for the rapper, the "Young and Beautiful" singer also had a soft spot for him.

Before finding a match made in Hollywood heaven with Rihanna, young A$AP Rocky gushed to Billboard about collaborating with his crush.
The Harlem artist was working on his first album for Polo Grounds/RCA/A$AP Worldwide and said that his song with the "Ultraviolence" singer titled "Ridin'" will be on the final album.
A$AP Rocky noted the Bonnie and Clyde-themed song was borne out of him being a huge fan of Rey after hearing "Blue Jeans." He said:
“I first had had a crush on her from seeing her on the Internet — I fell in love with her voice… from then on, I’m like… I love her! Mind you, we never even spoke to each other."
As fate would have it for the smitten star, Rey acknowledged him as her favorite rapper, giving him the needed push to contact her. He explained:
"In Complex [magazine], when she said I was her favorite rapper, I was like, ‘Oh f--k no, man. I gotta work with her! My dream girl acknowledges me!'”
No crush can trump the power of true love as A$AP Rocky's friendship with Rihanna eventually blossomed into a full-blown romance.
The Blast disclosed that the lovebirds are now expecting their first baby together. The news broke when photographs from their baby bump shoot spread like wildfire over January 30 and 31.
The "We Found Love" singer looked heavily pregnant and glowing in the New York winter. She was dressed in a full-length pink puffy winter jacket that exposed the bump.
Rihanna completed her look with flared blue jeans and multiple crystal necklaces that rested on her bump and protected her child with positive spiritual energy.
The baby bump debut photos reportedly were taken at Harlem, the hometown of the "Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics" actor.
A$AP Rocky was also photographed walking hand in hand with his lover. In a candid image, he placed a warm kiss on the "Anti" singer's forehead while their eyes were closed.

By May 2021, it was no news to many that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were an item. The proud boyfriend also confirmed their romance in an interview that month.
The Blast revealed that the "Stockholm Syndrome" star credited Rihanna for not just being the love of his life but also "the one" in an interview with GQ Magazine.
To A$AP Rocky, Rihanna "amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones," which undoubtedly includes his former crush, Lana Del Rey.
Finding the one also brings new dreams for the future as the soon-to-be dad admitted to the Magazine that he was excited to be a father one day. He said:
“I think I’m already a dad! All these [expletives] are already my sons—whatchu talkin’ ’bout! Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."
In July 2021, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky shippers were on cloud 9 when they were treated to sweet photos from their date night at Miami's World Famous House of Mac.
The Blast shared that, on Friday, July 23, 2021, the FENTY founder and her lover could not hide their feelings for each other as they posed all smiles with Derrick Turton, the restaurant's owner.
The couple happened to be in Miami for the Rolling Loud music festival headlined by A$AP Rocky on July 10, and Rihanna was there to support her man.
A fan also posted an Instagram clip of the "Love On The Brain Singer" and her lover kissing passionately at a nightclub while oblivious to the rest of the world.
