Meghan Trainor's View On Motherhood
After meeting in 2014, Trainor and Sabara bonded for a few years before getting engaged in 2017 and tying the knot the following year on the singer-songwriter's 25th birthday. Riley's arrival came three years later, and Trainor has admitted that his birth led to many changes in their lives.
The award-winning artiste opened up to Parents for their March cover story, revealing how the birth of her son has impacted her career and her mental and physical health.
"I think when you have a kid, you realize, 'Wow, life is beautiful and precious. I want to be the best for my kid.' I've never been more motivated," said Trainor in the interview.
Trainor further commented on working out and physical health, saying she draws her inspiration from her son. "I look at Riley and think, 'I'm going to do anything I can to live forever,'" she added.

"It feels like I'm telling my truth," she disclosed about her upcoming project. "I heard that when you have a baby, you get more creative, and my lyrics are changing. Instead of writing songs to make everyone feel better, I'm writing about how I feel in this moment."
"But it's not like every day is sad," she added. "It's more like: Yes, I am a badass, but this ain't easy, and I have to get up and keep going."
Trainor Plans On Telling The Hard Parts Of Motherhood In Her New Songs
In the interview, Trainor discussed more issues relating to her childbirth. She cited her commitment to "telling the hard parts" about her status in her new songs.
To buttress her point, the singer gave an example that referenced the aftereffects of giving birth to a child. "A lot of women are out there posting their stretch marks, and they write, 'I love my tiger stripes, they gave me my boy,'" which is something she's had a hard time relating to," Trainor admitted.
"I love my baby, but I can't look at my stretch marks and honestly say, 'Wow, I love them,' you know?" she added.
Trainor Wants To Have More Kids
The process of giving birth to Riley was harsh on the new mother. She went through a cesarean section due to some complications with the pregnancy, which would most likely scare most women from going down the same route.

However, the singer recently admitted that the difficult childbirth would not deter her from getting pregnant again, and fans should expect more additions to the family in the future.
"I'm ready for three more kids!" she told the news outlet in September.
"I'm happiest nowadays when I'm putting my baby to sleep with my husband because we do it together every night. We look at each other like, 'We made the best baby.' We got so blessed," Trainor continued.
