Renowned NBC broadcast journalist Savannah Guthrie made a surprising confession during an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show."

Guthrie made it known that she was pretty into making out with strangers and non-strangers when she was younger.  

The Australian-born wasn't ashamed of this revelation as she gave further details of her views of being a youngster and the freedom that comes with it.

Savannah Guthrie Says She Was A Good Girl Who Loved Making Out

Drew Barrymore, the show host, began by welcoming Guthrie and complimenting her on her outfit choice. Coincidentally, both celebs rocked similar skirts but in different colors.

They talked about the journalist's 50th birthday celebration on New Year's Eve. The delighted guest thanked Barrymore for gracing her celebration, serving as a get-together for the stars.

The "Never Been Kissed" star admitted that the event set her mood right for 2022 as she could do something communal and normal.

The discussion led to the traditions of New Year and kissing under mistletoes which brought about Guthrie's revelation of not needing New Year's eve to kiss strangers when she was younger. She said:

“I did not need an occasion to like, you know, make out. I wasn’t like a; I don’t want to give you the wrong impression…I was a make-out bandit.”

The veteran broadcaster further said that even though she was a good girl, she did like to make out when she was in seventh grade. Guthrie declared that she missed those days, and even Barrymore, who was also daring back then, agreed.

The show concluded with a discussion on jewelry and tattoos. Since they both have multiple piercings, which they felt manifested their younger versions, Guthrie planned on getting a tattoo like Barrymore.

After the show, they further made plans to get a tattoo in honor of Guthrie's mom's birthday and Barrymore's birthday on the 22nd of February.

In December, fans learned about Guthrie's 50th birthday via her Instagram. The celebrant posted a series of photos to mark the special day.

She acknowledged her neighbor in the post and detailed how her day went, which consisted of an entire body cleansing session, listening to her favorite songs, and working out for a few minutes.

The mother of two concluded the caption with a sweet tribute to her family and a special note to her late dad, who never made it to 50. She further appreciated God for his kindness, grace, and blessing.

Fans Reaction To The "Today" Show Anchor Hosting "Jeopardy"

After the death of Alex Trebek in 2020, Guthrie was chosen to replace the icon later in 2021 out of several options that fans used to compare the broadcaster.

The Blast shared that the American journalist made it known that she accepted the position as a guest host mainly as a tribute to Trebek. She hoped to do the job well because she respected the game and the late icon's built house.

As the main co-anchor of the NBC News morning show, the expert has had quite the experience with broadcasting and legal issues, like the recognized Michael Jackson trial. 

Despite her expertise, fans weren't too thrilled with her position. A fan claimed he would prefer to carry out menial tasks than sit through the broadcast, while others looked forward to seeing Guthrie kill the show.

The Former Co-Anchor Of "The Daily Rundown" Is COVID-I9 Positive

Since the beginning of January, several stars have been testing positive for coronavirus, and while some recovered, others are still on their way to recovery; Guthrie was one of those. 

The Blast shared that the "Today" show co-anchor broadcasted from her home, where she broke the news of her infection. Guthrie felt good with vaccinations and suitable boosters and just had mild sniffles. 

She hoped to resume work after a few days at home but would be working from home for the duration of her recovery.

The University of Arizona alum wasn't the only one stuck at home because of COVID-19. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, popularly known as AOC, was recovering at home after being tested positive for the virus.

Tori Spelling also got the virus with her whole family, including her husband, Dean McDermott, and five kids. 

Another celebrity who was unfortunate to contract the virus and get pneumonia was Dean McDermott. There have been speculations as to whether he had the virus before the sickness or if he had both at the same time.
