Dr. Oz Saves A Man's Life After He Collapsed During A Political Event

Dr. Ozis being called a hero after jumping in to help save a man who collapsed during a political event in Pennsylvania.

According to multiple reports, the good doctor was speaking at the Pennsylvania Republican Caucus near Pittsburg when suddenly a state committee member collapsed. Obviously, Dr. Oz isn't just a television star, he's an actual doctor, and used his medical training to render aid to the person.

Witnesses at the event say Dr. Oz rushed over to the man and placed him on a flat surface. After moving outside the meeting room, the person suffered another seizure-like episode.

Someone in the room called 911, and emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital. The patient was conscious and speaking to Dr. Oz as he was loaded into the ambulance and taken away.

Incredibly, Dr. Oz made his scheduled appearance and spoke to the Caucus following the episode. Also, he was able to make contact with the victim at the hospital, and he is in stable condition.

Dr. Oz broke his silence on the situation, saying, "I am a doctor first and always will be, so I responded immediately to a call for help when a nearby man collapsed. Following the lessons learned from a life in medicine, I did my job until EMS arrived to transport him to a nearby hospital."

If you weren't aware, Dr. Oz is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania and moving into politics from his successful television career.

If that wasn't good enough, this is actually the second time this has happened to Dr. Oz in the past year. In March, Dr. Oz came to the rescue after a man collapsed at Newark airport while people stood near the baggage claim. At the time, the victim fell face down and Oz rolled him over -- cleared his airway -- and began life-saving CPR.

The person stopped breathing and had no pulse -- forcing Dr. Oz to take measures to shock him using a defibrillator. Shockingly, Oz was able to jump-start the man's heart bringing him back to life! Dr. Oz credited the Port Authority Police Department for helping bring the proper gear to save the man's life. The 60-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where they continued treatment. The best part was no one really knew who he was, he just told the crowd he was a doctor and stepped in.

In the end, the man suffered a heart attack, but thanks to Dr. Oz he is doing "okay" and was awaiting test results. Plus, Dr. Oz called the man's wife and was able to update her on the incident.
