Alicia Silverstone Has The PERFECT Response To Body Shamers

Alicia Silverstone is not backing down to haters.

The "Clueless" star, 45, responded to body-shamers in the best way she knows how -- by giving the middle finger. On Tuesday, Silverstone went on TikTok and made a video in response to her candid photo where she wore a navy blue sundress.

"Alicia Silverstone Candid Fat Photo," the caption read.

Silverstone showed a screengrab of the picture, adding an arrow pointing to its caption. She then emerged in the video a few seconds later and flashed the middle finger as the viral song "abcdfu" by Gayle played in the background.

The actress captioned the share with, "D-mn. I think I look good ???‍♀️ #abcdefu."

The share racked up over 4.1 million views as of this writing. Plenty of her avid supporters also flocked to the comments section and showed their full support.

"Girl you look good! They’re just trying to make money off your haters," one remarked.

"They are crazy, the whole pic is a mood and you being barefoot and gorgeous is everything," added another commenter.

"I love you Alicia, don't let bad comments affect you, they are just people envious of you," wrote a third fan.

"If that's what is considered FAT, where do I sign up???? I'd PAY to look that great!" quipped the fourth admirer.

This isn’t the first time body-shamers came for Silverstone. Over twenty years ago, the actress, who was only 19 at the time, presented at the 1996 Academy Awards. Back then, Entertainment Weekly compared Silverstone’s body to Babe the Pig in an article titled: "A Weighty Issue."

"It was a real turnoff for me because I was a rebellious teenager," Silverstone told Vanity Fair in June 2018.

Silverstone was criticized for her role as Batgirl in 1997’s "Batman and Robin" with paparazzi and tabloids calling her "Fatgirl."

"When I was having my crazy moments post-Clueless, I was being called 'Fat Girl,'" she said.

The cruel weight comments even made her think of quitting Hollywood.

She continued, "It didn’t make me think, Oh yes, I’m going to try really hard to be [what you think I should be]. My response was, 'Hell no.' I had no interest in being famous or maintaining any kind of fame. If you told me that acting meant I was going to be called fat and have to do things a certain way, then I was like, ‘F off,'" adding, "I also gave a lot of my deciding power away to my team because it was all so complicated and hard."

Silverstone shared similar sentiments during an interview with the Guardian in 2020. She said people would "make fun of her body" when she became so famous.

"It was hurtful but I knew they were wrong," the actress shared. "I wasn’t confused. I knew that it was not right to make fun of someone’s body shape, that doesn’t seem like the right thing to be doing to a human."

Even if the story was over two decades ago, it went viral again on TikTok, and Silverstone's fans defended her.

A TikTok user, @foreversymone made a reaction video in response to the hate.

"@aliciasilverstone I wanna apologize in behalf of the media you deserved better you were a great Barbra," she wrote in the caption.

Other supporters reacted to the post.

"This is ...sad and messed up. Ugh Speaking your truth hit the headlines tho. Many of us grew up huge fans of Alicias. You are awesome!!" one commented.

"They were obsessed with her weight. All she did was breathe. And as a fat woman who grew up obsessed with Clueless who grew up obsessed with this movie that’s pure camp, it just makes me very frustrated to know that she was barely, what, she couldn’t have been more than 130. And they were like straight-up ripping on her constantly over this. People, US Weekly, everybody. Say you’re sorry, say you’re sorry to Alicia Silverstone," remarked another user.

"Impressionable af during that time and the media obsession and judgment with her weight contributed to a lot of ED for our generation," another fan added.

Silverstone is thankful for the support and made a reaction video.

"Justice for Batgirl!" she wrote in her caption and said "thank you" in her video.
