Kim Kardashian And Ray J Shutdown Kanye West's Sex Tape Claims

The Kim Kardashian versus Kanye West saga is in round two, or maybe three, and this time, her famous sex tape is the subject matter. Everyone knows the history of the sex tape; that back in 2007, Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Ray J filmed them being intimate, and that it leaked just before the premiere of the first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Over the years that followed, many fans have speculated that the timing of the tape's release was too much of a coincidence and that it was very likely that Kardashian and Ray J planned it to gather public interest for the show and make money. 

Eventually, the tape's fame wore out, and many people haven't thought of it in a long time, only for West to bring it up in a recent interview and reveal some interesting news. Read on to find out what he said. 

West recently had an interview with Jason Lee on Hollywood Unlocked where he reflected on Kardashian's new relationship with Pete Davidson, their divorce, his relationship with their kids, and her famous incident with Ray J.

Regarding her relationship with Davidson, West said, "How you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you dating right in front of me? And everybody's like, 'Oh, that's, that's cool.' After I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night, right?"

He then revealed that he allegedly once flew to meet Ray J and was given a laptop which he then delivered to Kardashian. He said that when the reality TV star saw the laptop's contents, she broke down and cried because of a second sex tape on the laptop.

He said, "It represents how much she's been used. It represents how much people didn't love her, and they just saw her as a commodity." A second sex tape is something that many people have speculated for years, but there was never any proof until West's statements.

During the weeks that followed the announcement of their divorce, West made many statements and rants about his ex-wife and their relationship. However, Kardashian repeatedly ignored most of his claims. This time, she decided not to be silent.

She released a statement through a representative, who said, "After review, there was nothing sexual unseen, only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip." 

"Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists," the rep continued, "After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter and focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur and advocate for justice reform."

Ray J, the other person in the famous tapes, also released a statement in response to West's claims and the speculation of a second tape. This was evidence of how much of an impact West's comment had on his fans and critics of Kardashian and Ray J.

His manager spoke to E! News and said, "Ray J is focused on his children, technology company Raycon and his film/tv/music career at the moment. He only wishes Kim & Kanye the best in all of their endeavors and will not be discussing or addressing the past."

With both Kardashian and Ray J's statements on the matter, many fans think that it is just another of West's many rants that may not be true, as there is no other evidence that points to the existence of a second tape.

After almost seven years of marriage and having four kids, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. Some sources have since said that one of the reasons she divorced him was that Kardashian is trying to change the perception of who she is and use her platform for the benefit of society- a plan that does not work well with West in the picture.

In simple terms, some say he talks too much and is too revealing about private information. A good example was when he revealed that he and Kardashian almost aborted their first child or his recent threats to beat up Davidson.

With Kardashian's big plans for herself and her business, she needs peace. She recently trended when she and her underwear brand, SKIMS, arranged for the Afghanistan women's soccer team to meet and get support from an English Premier League club.
