Travis Scott‘s fans are making a demand to have their favorite rapper back in the lineup for Coachella 2023, and they are using any means necessary to make their wants known.
Scott’s fans, who are collectively known as “Ragers,” began a petition online, and they are already making waves.
Travis Scott’s Fans Gather Over 70,000 Signatures On Petition
Per reports, the rapper’s fans started a petition on Change.org asking Coachella to have him on the lineup for the 2023 edition of the music festival. The petitioners have demanded that either Scott be added to the lineup for the year 2023 or Kanye West bring him up on stage to perform for this year’s edition.
Either way, all they want is for Scott to perform at Coachella. Superfan James Connors started the petition earlier this week, and in the space of just three days, the signatures have reached over 70,000, nearing the 75,000-goal, which can possibly cause a change.
A description of the petition reads, “We all know Astroworld tragedy wasn’t Travis’s fault. Let him get back to performing on the biggest stages!” Many fans believed Scott was cheated and replaced with Harry Styles, and they are urging the organizers to do the right thing and bring him back.
Some of the comments underneath the petition echo such sentiments. For example, one fan wrote, “Anyone who’s seen the Beatles documentary of them at the airport where they’re throwing passed out girls over the fence knows this stuff is common, and not something out of the ordinary to an artist (no reason to stop the show). People crowd rush without angry music or instigation. The crowd rush due to idolizations.”
Another user noted, “He’s being unfairly punished and I want to see him perform live again as a great artist that he is.”
Scott Was Dropped From Coachella
It is worthy to note that another petition is ongoing on Change.org, but it’s not in Scott’s favor. The petition, which has received around 63,000 signatures, demands that the Houston native be banned from Coachella.
Shortly after Scott’s devastating Astroworld tragedy in November that left ten people dead and hundreds injured, the petition kicked off. Many fans blamed him for inciting violence amongst the concertgoers and not taking caution when the catastrophe was brought to his attention.
As we covered at the time, the Astroworld incident resulted in numerous conspiracy theories, including one that someone went around the concert injecting people with needles that carried an unknown substance.
As a result, fans began trending on social media that the 30-year-old be dropped from Coachella amid rumors that he was set to be a headliner. In December, it was finally confirmed that Scott wouldn’t be performing at the music festival.
As The Blast reported, Jim Curtis, a Community Services Manager from the City of Indio, California, confirmed the news saying that Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, was pressured by the petition and backlash to remove Scott from all of its festivals.
Alongside being dropped from the lineup, Scott was facing a slew of lawsuits from offended concertgoers while still declaring that he had no idea people were getting injured during his performance.
So Who Are Those In The Coachella 2022 Lineup?

While it remains unknown if Scott would perform at this year’s Coachella, some other artists have been confirmed to bless fans with their top hits at the festival.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Ye, alongside Styles, Swedish House Mafia, and Billie Eilish, would headline the highly anticipated concert, which has been on hold since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other musical acts due to join the lineup include Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Ari Lennox, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Karol G, and many more. Still, Coachella 2022 is set to take place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, during the weekends of April 15-17 and 22-24, 2022.
As for Coachella 2023, no act has been confirmed yet, but rumors suggest singer Frank Ocean will be a headliner. Ocean was initially supposed to perform alongside Scott as a headliner in the 2020 edition before it was scrapped, so it is believed he would take up the spot next year.
Only time will tell if Scott’s fans get their wishes!
