The NBA star, his daughter and seven others were aboard a helicopter on an overcast day traveling from Orange County, CA. to Thousand Oaks, CA.
They were traveling to the Mamba Sports Academy for his daughter’s basketball game.
Kobe often used his helicopter to travel to games and bypass LA traffic.
The chopper sadly never reached its final destination, and crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, CA on January 26, 2020.
Everyone on the helicopter died upon impact.
