“I will be finally speaking my truth tomorrow now that I am allowed to,” adding, “I will be taking questions after! Thank you to who all supports me.”

Bravo’s Statement

Nguyen’s post came after Bravo fired her from the show and released a statement:
“Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member on ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’” the statement read. “We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.”
As reported by The Blast, the mother of three came under fire last week for the posts she shared in 2020 from her deactivated Facebook page. Nguyen’s insensitive posts happened during the Black Lives Matter protests, where she criticized the racial-justice movement, including the nationwide protests and riots following the controversial death of George Floyd, and more.
The Damage Has Been Done

Several hours after the posts resurfaced, Nguyen issued an apology on social media.
“I want to acknowledge and apologize for my deleted Facebook posts from 2020 that resurfaced today,” Nguyen wrote on Instagram, along with the caption “#hateisavirus.”
“I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were,” she continued, adding, “It’s why I deactivated that account more than a year ago and why I continue to try to learn about perspectives different from my own. I regret those posts and am sincerely sorry for the pain they caused.”
Insensitive Remarks
This is so disappointing. I think Jennie Nguyen needs to be let go, but I am also curious as to what thought process brought her to do this. #rhoslc #jennienguyen pic.twitter.com/UyUCVxagwQ

Nguyen’s old posts consisted of memes and photos that included phrases like “BLM Thugs” and “Violent Gangs.”
“I’m sick of people saying cops need more training,” she shared in September 2020, as seen on a screengrab posted on Twitter. “You had 18 years to teach your kids it’s wrong to loot, steal, set buildings ablaze, block traffic, laser people’s eyes, overturn cars, destroy buildings and attack citizens. Who failed who?”
In her August post, she penned: “Hundreds of blacks shot and many killed (including children) by other blacks every week. Over a thousand Officers violently injured, some permanently, by rioters. Anarchists rioting in major cities every night, which has caused billions of dollars of destruction to private and public property. And you still think Police Officers are the problem. You are an idiot.”
Andy Cohen Speaks Up

The posts gained Andy Cohen’s attention, with the TV host calling them “disgusting” and “very upsetting” on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show.
“People were very upset about the lack of discussion on last night’s episode relating to Jennie’s disgusting and upsetting posts, and I’ve also seen all the tweets wanting to know what’s being done about those posts. I just want to say, in case anyone doesn’t realize it, that there are many serious discussions happening right now about everything — about everything,” Cohen said. “And I can’t address the situation right now, but it will be addressed very soon, and thank you for your patience.”

Nguyen’s ‘RHOSLC’ co-stars bashed her for her offensive posts.
“I am sickened by my co-worker’s racist and prejudicial posts that recently surfaced. I do not stand behind or support these posts in any way, shape, or form … Black Lives Matter,” Meredith Marks wrote in her statement she shared on Twitter.
“You will see repercussions. As difficult as it is, give things a moment to come to light. Know that I do not support this behavior in anyway and will continue to use my platform to speak out against it,” she continued.

Lisa Barlow posted her statement on Instagram: “I do NOT condone, nor I am aligned with them. The posts were harmful and hurtful to a community I love.”
Heather Gay also issued a statement by writing, “I can finally speak out today and I want to say that I am deeply shocked, saddened, and disappointed by the blatantly racist and derogatory statements reshared and liked by one of my fellow castmates.”
There can be no haven in this world for hateful anti-Black and violent rhetoric. It is up to all of us to do the work of anti-racism and educate ourselves on the experiences of others,” she continued.
