New reports have emerged behind Adele’s Las Vegas residency cancellation.
The English singer, 33, announced on Instagram last week that she was postponing her highly-anticipated residency just a day before her first show.
Canceling Last Minute

On January 20, she shared a video where she sobbed while telling fans, “my show ain’t ready.”
Adele captioned the share with, “All dates will be rescheduled. More info coming soon,” adding a heartbroken emoji.
However, there was more to the story.
Fighting With Paul?
According to sources, the “Easy on Me” songstress had some intense moments during rehearsals. Apparently, she was “shouting and sobbing” while talking on the phone with her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul, 40.
An insider from the Caesars Palace team, where the concerts were to take place told Page Six, “Adele’s been crying and couldn’t get through a single full rehearsal for the past month.”
The source continued, “Just constantly on the phone with Rich … loudly shouting and sobbing,” adding, “She has barely rehearsed because she is constantly in the middle of an emotional shootout.”
Will Adele Cancel The Entire Residency?
A Las Vegas-based journalist for Casino.org said Vegas insiders are now worried that Adele will cancel her shows for good.
“There are rumblings that there are stresses related to Adele’s relationship,” Scott Roeben, who first broke the news of the singer’s residency, told the outlet. “I’m told that these stresses caused her to be in a place where she was just not confident moving forward. You can’t focus if you’re not where you need to be in your head.”
Adele reportedly took a private plane to Los Angeles and went straight to her beau’s place after sharing the bad news.
How It All Started
The pair have been dating for six months. Adele and Paul started dating in early 2021, but the two had been friends for a while.
“He was always there, I just didn’t see him,” she’d told Vogue in October.
They met years ago at a party, where the singer drunkenly asked Paul to “sign” her.
He Makes Her Laugh
“I was a bit drunk. I said: ‘Do you want to sign me? I’m an athlete now,'” Adele recalled, adding, “He’s just so f–king funny.”
While at the party, Adele’s eyes were fixated on him as she shared, “He was dancing. All the other guys were just sitting around. He was just dancing away.”
The “Rolling in the Deep” hitmaker also noted that “Rich just incredibly arrived” in her life. He makes her feel safe.
“I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild,” she said.
“I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want,” Adele added.
Opening Up About Her Romance With Paul
In November, the 15-time Grammy winner praised her relationship with Paul during her Oprah interview.
“He’s just hilarious. Oh, he’s so funny, he’s hilarious, yeah. And very smart. You know, he’s very, very smart. It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does,” she said at the time.
“And just the easiness of it,” she continued, adding, “It’s just been very smooth.”
Adele also stated that in her current relationship, it’s the first time she’s “loved myself and been open to loving and being loved by someone else.”
She also noted, “It’s just timing. But it’d be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I’m talking outside of romance as well.”
Trouble In Production
Regarding her three-month run of concerts at the Caesars Palace, reports revealed that Adele didn’t particularly like the idea of being hoisted up in a pool during her “Weekends With Adele” shows.
“When she saw the finished design, she refused to take part,” an insider told The Sun.
“Adele described the pool as a ‘baggy old pond’ and refused, point blank, to stand in the middle of it,” the source continued, adding, “The intention was to fill it with water on the set as she was lifted up on a crane-type mechanism, creating the illusion she was floating on water.”
