Over the past decade, Ree Drummond has made a name for herself as a blogger, author, food writer, photographer, and television personality. Given what her fans have said, her show, “The Pioneer Woman,” is also one of the best food programs to watch on the Food Network.

The cooking show attracted more viewers during the pandemic as more people passed their time by watching television. Within the period, Drummond’s family had to work in place of her pro team, filming her as she showcased her culinary skills from the comfort of home.

Her shows took on a less formal style, given the setbacks caused by the pandemic. However, its effects were positive rather than negative. Fans loved the settings and enjoyed seeing a new side of Drummond.

Fans Love The Real Moments On 'The Pioneer Woman'

The pandemic played a part in stalling Drummond’s access to the same level of technical help she got when filming in the office. As such, most goofy and unprofessional scenes in episodes of “The Pioneer Woman” remain unedited.

Most Drummond’s fans are happy with the new format and love the “real” moments” they got to see on the food show. One fan commented, “This is what makes the show relatable and lovable,” in response to a clip the celebrity chef posted about the show.

“I liked those moments. Like when you caught the spoon on fire that would have been edited with the professional crew,” another fan said. “It’s nice to see professional people mess up too.”

One follower also gushed, “Or when the rat ran across the floor. That would have been edited out for sure, or started the dish over!”

Fans Also Enjoy The Laid-Back Vibe Of Drummond

Filming in the studio often requires a level of professionalism attached to the formal environment. Away from that setting, Drummond has unveiled a more relaxed personality her fans never got to see initially.

The celebrity chef and her family have settled into a laid-back vibe for most of the filming time. They were seen having fun while showing off new recipes and tweaking older ones. Looking at the comments on her recent post on Instagram, most fans would prefer Drummond to continue in this manner.

One follower mentioned, “I love the laid-back vibe much better than the ‘professional’ version! Love seeing the kids! You do you!!!”

“The show is a depiction of how real life is in every mom’s kitchen,” one fan said.

Some Fans Gave Negative Feedbacks

Although most fans have voiced their love for the laid-back approach of Drummond while filming her cooking show, some other followers do not share the same sentiment. The food blogger revealed the tidbit in a video post, which showed an unprofessional scene from the kitchen.

“While most of the feedback I receive on our self-shot cooking show is positive, I do hear from the occasional viewer who takes issue with the lack of professionalism and decorum displayed in the kitchen,” she captioned the post.

The scene showed her in-law Mauricio and daughter Paige playfully battling to have the first bite of Drummond’s Tex-Mex chicken pot pie.

‘The Pioneer Woman’ Plans To Show Ranch Life In The Upcoming Season

Away from the mixed emotions about the professionalism of 'The Pioneer Woman,' Drummond has promised to bring back the “ranch life” segment of her show when her film crew returns from their hiatus.

She dropped the details in a post about the upcoming season and apologized for forgetting to post more news about the show.

“We filmed this show last fall and are looking forward to starting filming again next month,” Drummond wrote in the caption.

“We’re going to start shooting more of the ranch activities which I’ve missed … and later this summer, my original crew from the U.K. will be coming back for the first time in over two years.”
