Mugler's collaboration with Kim for the 2019 Met Gala was one of his most profound and famous works in recent years. The masterpiece he created got tongues wagging for months and was one of Kim's defining fashion moments.

On Monday, Kim finally addressed Mugler's heartbreaking demise, sharing several moving photos of their time spent together. In the carousel of images was Kim and Mugler doing a fitting for the Met Gala look.

The pair seemed to have a bond beyond their professional relationship, as evident in a photo of them sharing a laugh. Kim showed off other breathtaking designs the late fashion genius made for her in different frames.

In the accompanying caption, the "KUWTK" star mourned Mugler's loss, writing, "Manfred Thierry Mugler ? My heart breaks. There's no one like you! Your vision, your transformations, your magic!"

Kim confessed that she felt so honored to have known the designer, spent time with him, and be his muse. She then revealed that Mugler still had a lot of creativity to show the world, and they even had upcoming collaborations.

Nevertheless, she was grateful because he had already given the world so much. Kim continued, writing, "I will never forget our time together around the world and learning from the master himself on what couture really meant! "

The reality star shared a famous saying by the designer about beauty saving the world and appreciated him for the beauty he brought while alive. Kim concluded her heartfelt tribute, writing:

"I love you so much. My condolences go to Manfred’s family, friends, JB and his incredible team - and everyone who loved him and whose lives he has touched."

More Stars Honor The Late Designer

Before Kim paid her tribute to Mugler, her older sister Kourtney Kardashian was the first family member to react to the news. The Poosh founder uploaded a family photo of the clan all dressed in black and white coordinating outfits from Mugler himself.

Kris Jenner also reposted the family photo alongside a heartbreak emoji. Model Irina Shayk was another celebrity who shared a close relationship with the late fashion powerhouse.

As The Blast reported, Shayk uploaded photos of her time with Mugler at his September 2021 "Thierry Mugler: Couturissime" exhibition and remembered him fondly.

She described him as the "God of Fashion" and praised him for being kind and sweet." She concluded her tribute, writing, "u ll be always missed by your Russian."

Beyoncé, who worked with Mugler for tour costumes for her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, in the late 2000s, also honored his legacy. The queen shared a tear-jerking throwback photo of the designer in his younger days on her website.

Actress Tracee Ellis Ross sweetly recalled how Mugler was responsible for giving her a break into the modeling world. She noted that the Strasbourg native allowed her to walk the runway with her mother, Diana Ross, fulfilling her lifelong dream.

She hailed Mugler as a "force of fashion," praising his work for being futuristic and portraying women as in charge and on top.

Mugler Passed Away At 73

As we covered, Mugler passed away on Sunday, January 23, according to an announcement by his team. The fashion icon was 73, and details surrounding his sudden death haven't been released.

However, it is worthy to note that Mugler wasn't reported to be dealing with any health issues in the years before his death. The designer has a rich history dating back to the late '70s when he broke onto the fashion scene with a unique style of cinched silhouettes and robot-themed looks.

He also ventured into perfumes, and his signature scent, "Angel," remains greatly appreciated to date. Away from his glorious career, Mugler was a strong ally and member of the LGBTQ+ community.

He was reportedly openly gay, although he rarely spoke about his romantic life. The French talent also never shied away from using trans models and drag queens on the runway as far back as the '90s.
