Garrett Hedlund is being accused of trying to jump out of a moving vehicle, this all before ultimately being arrested for public intoxication.
According to a new report, a man allegedly called police on Garrett in the hours leading up to his Saturday night arrest, telling officers the actor tried jumping out of a car earlier in the day. In a police report of the incident, the man claimed Hedlund kicked him and swung at him, but ultimately he didn’t want to press criminal charges.
Ultimately, Emma Roberts’ ex-boyfriend was arrested for public intoxication on Saturday night, after police in Tennessee believed he was a danger to himself and others. According to a report of the arrest, police claim they got a call around 10:30 pm for a disturbance by a man (Hedlund) banging on the rear door of a building.
Garrett Hedlund Arrested For Public Intoxication, Police Believed He Was A Danger To Himself
After arriving on the scene, police claim Garrett reeked of alcohol, appeared to be intoxicated, slurred his speech, and didn’t follow the officer’s commands.
During the questioning, Garratt told officers he was trying to get stuff back that he left inside the building. But, the level of intoxication brought officers to believe the actor could be a danger to himself and others, arresting him for public intoxication. In the report, cops claim Hedlund caused “unreasonable annoyance.”
In the end, he bonded out of jail for $2,100 but will be due back in court in the coming months.
As you know, Hedlund has had a rough few weeks — after the actor split with his longtime girlfriend Emma Roberts, with whom he shares a child.

“It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It’s been hard,” a source told People about the split.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the only legal trouble Hedlund is facing at the moment. The actor is currently being sued for negligence after allegedly causing a head-on collision due to him nodding off at the while. According to the legal documents, he allegedly “passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle and ran a solid red-light at a high rate of speed,” forcing him to crash into a mother and daughter in a passing vehicle.
The family claims Hedlund “knew he was drinking to the point of severe intoxication before getting behind the wheel of his Jeep.”
They continued, “Hedlund had red, bloodshot, and watery eyes with extremely slurred speech and coordination and was so drunk that he was unresponsive to the police and witnesses; Hedlund was so inebriated he was unable to walk and was forced sit in the Jeep, and Hedlund had finished drinking minutes prior to the accident.”
‘Triple Frontier’ Star Faces Massive Lawsuit Over Alleged DUI Crash
Hedlund was arrested on two DUI charges in February of 2020 and was released after posting a $100,000 bond.
In the end, the ‘Triple Frontier’ actor was sentenced to 36-month probation and three days of community service. But, he was required to enroll and complete nine-month first-offender alcohol and other drug education and counseling program.
If charged and convicted on the new charges, the actor could be facing jail time due to a probation violation.
