Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox broke the internet when they announced their engagement on January 12. The famous couple went to Puerto Rico for vacation on January 11, and there the musician popped the big question.

Machine Gun Kelly Says Megan Fox's Ring Received No Treatment

During the sit-down, MGK opened up about the massive engagement ring, which consisted of tear-drop-shaped diamond (MGK's birthstone) and emerald (Fox's birthstone) gemstones joined and perched on a silver magnetic band of thorns.

In his announcement post, the "Bad Things" singer revealed that the unique jewelry piece was designed by Stephen Webster and had a special meaning to their love. When asked by the interviewer to give a lowdown about the ring, the artist bragged about getting the best for his future wife.

MGK disclosed that the engagement ring was free from any treatment whatsoever as it was gotten "straight out of the mine" and carved into a teardrop, nothing more. The diamond was sourced directly from Webster himself, a renowned British jewelry designer, while the emerald was a "thoroughbred Colombian emerald."

Giving more details about the ring, MGK said, "The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it's together, it's held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart."

However, the shocking part of MGK's revelation was that Fox couldn't take off the ring without feeling some pain. The 31-year-old musician confessed, "The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts… Love is pain!"

It's not unusual for the couple to have such a controversial intention behind their ring, given that they performed an even more bizarre ritual during their engagement.

In the touching clip, MGK was seen getting down on one knee before he was sweetly joined by the "Jennifer's Body" actress, who dropped to her knees upon hearing the question. The lovebirds shared a kiss and hugged to celebrate the moment with Fox detailing the big moment in her caption, writing:

In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree — We asked for magic–We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

The actress continued, noting that a year and a half after asking for magic and going through hell, MGK asked her to marry him, after which she dropped a major bomb.

"And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other's blood," Fox wrote. It's unsure if Fox was serious about her revelation, but we sure don't put it past the pair who have a history of bizarrely exchanging bodily fluids.

No Photographers Present During The Proposal

In the same interview with Vogue, the couple opened up about the media ruse surrounding their engagement with Fox confessing she had no idea it was such a big deal as she doesn't really look at social media.

However, MGK noted they chose to share the news on social media to "control the narrative." Although the clip showed the proposal from different angles, the singer revealed no photographers were present.

"As opposed to someone just catching a weird cell phone picture of a ring on our hand and being like, whoa! But yeah, I didn't expect it. I just recorded it on my cell phone. And it wasn't like we had photographers or anything. It was just like me setting my phone against a cup," he disclosed.

Fans, however, didn't buy MGK's claims as many believed the proposal was staged and even looked forced. Comments underneath the proposal video described it as "cringe," with some fans mocking MGK for dressing like a referee.

Nevertheless, it seems the couple doesn't care about the hate!
