Actor Jared Leto wants to get back into his Gucci garb!

Although Adam Driver, who played Maurizio Gucci, couldn’t get off set fast enough, the “Dallas Buyers Club” actor loved working with director Ridley Scott so much that he wants to create his own “Gucciverse.”

Leto plays the role of Paolo Gucci, who is the son of Aldo Gucci, played by veteran actor Al Pacino.

During a recent interview on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show,” Leto said that he would absolutely be down to do a prequel to “House of Gucci.” He even already has created a title for the unconfirmed film!

“I’d love to do a prequel to ‘House of Gucci,’” Leto said, explaining that he would love for the prequel to focus on the interactions between Aldo and Paolo. “‘Just the Two of Us,’ we would call it.”

Leto recalled a humorous interaction where he absolutely “astounded” the “Scarface” actor.

“On the first day of set, he didn't know it was me, and I came up to him and said, you know, 'hello,’” Jared explained. “And he just kind of brushed me off. He thought I was just an Italian weirdo that was trying to talk to him or get his autograph or something.”

“I come up to him two or three times and someone finally whispered, 'That's Paolo, that's Jared under there.' And he was like, 'My son, my son,' and he fell to the floor,” Leto continued. “He was just astounded. Having that happen with one of the world's greatest actors was a beautiful gift and gave me the faith that if Al can believe in this guy, then we all can. It was a boost of confidence early on, and I adored working with him.”

Although Leto and Pacino had a great time working together on set, Paolo and Aldo’s interactions don’t play out so favorably in the film. Paolo rats on Aldo for tax evasion, which results in his father being sent to jail.

Although fans loved the scenes between Leto and Pacino’s character, the main focus of the film was on the real-life story of Patrizia Reggiani, who was played by Lady Gaga. Gaga marries into the Gucci family through Maurizio Gucci, but their relationship becomes strained and ultimately ends in divorce. That’s not enough for Patrizia, who enlisted the help of her friend Pina (Salma Hayek) to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband.

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Gaga has won an Icon Award at the Golden Globes for her role. Leto has earned nominations for Best Supporting Actor at the Critics Choice Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards for his part in the film.

In an interview with EW prior to the film’s release, Leto said that he “immediately saw [Paolo] as a dreamer, the black sheep of his family, someone never really heard.” He added that he felt an “immediate connection” with the Gucci who had been both hired and fired by both his father and his uncle.

Although he had to spend hours in the makeup chair each day to achieve the look of Paolo Gucci, Leto admitted that he became so invested in his character that he had to fight back tears after they had finished filming.

“I was successful in holding them back,” he admitted. “I didn't want to embarrass the entire set, but it was a really warm and wonderful experience — collaborative, creative, full of risk and reward, just incredibly special.”

One person who probably wouldn’t want to be part of a Gucci prequel is “Star Wars” alum Adam Driver, who stated in an earlier interview that he was looking forward to heading home after they finished filming.

“I do not live in the same world as Maurizio Gucci,” he explained. “The way he picks up things that are valuable and discards them, the way he is the most elegant man—those qualities were interesting to think about. But after 14 hours a day of being a Gucci, I was ready for it to be over.”

“In general, I leave jobs immediately,” he added. “I haven’t been to a wrap party since ‘Girls.’ I just want to get the character out of my system and go home.”
