Britney Spears Fans Leave SCATHING Reviews On Jamie Lynn’s New Memoir!

Although there hasn’t been any new drama between Britney Spears and her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, over the past few days, there might be some new drama surfacing over Jamie Lynn’s new memoir.
The book, officially titled, “Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out,” was finally released on Tuesday, January 18.
As soon as the book, which was named the number one new release in the Christian Inspirational category, was released, it began to be one-bombed by Britney fans, who have echoed Britney’s claims that her sister “made up lies” about her in her new book.
What Is Jamie Lynn’s New Memoir About?
According to the official synopsis, the book is a tell-all memoir about Jamie Lynn’s life as a child star:
In this intimate memoir, actress and musician Jamie Lynn Spears opens up for the first time, telling her unfiltered story on her own terms.
You’ve read the headlines, but you don’t know Jamie Lynn Spears. The world first met Jamie Lynn as a child star, when it was her job to perform, both on set and for the press. She spent years escaping into different characters on All That and Zoey 101. But as she grew up, faced a teen pregnancy, raised her daughter on her own, pursued a career, and learned to stand on her own two feet, the real Jamie Lynn started to take center stage– a raw, blemished, and imperfect woman, standing in her own power.
Despite growing up in one of America's most tabloid-famous families, Jamie Lynn has never told her story in her own words. In Things I Should Have Said, she talks frankly about the highs and lows, sharing what it was like traveling the world as a kid, how she moved into acting and performing herself, what life as a child star took from her, and the life-changing reality of becoming a teen mom. She talks about how she finally found love and how the mistakes she has made have taught her more than anything else. She also shares vulnerably about how the ATV accident that nearly took her daughter's life brought her back to her faith and caused her to reevaluate and redirect her life.
Frank, courageous, and inspiring, Things I Should Have Said is a portrait of a wife, momma, sister, daughter, actress, and musician doing the best she could to show up for herself and teach her daughters to have the courage to love every part of themselves, too.
What Are Fans Saying About The Book?
As of the morning of its release, there was only one five-star review and many, many one-star reviews on Amazon.
The five-star review, submitted by MyloandMe, reads, “Read the book yourself before considering feedback. A lot of these are submitted without reading the book simply because of what the media is putting out there. Seriously, some of these sound right out of a tabloid which is intended only to grab public interest for advertisement dollars. No one knows this family personally, so no one knows the actual truth. I've purchased this because I was a fan of Jamie's as a kid, and am supporting her as a fan of hers.”
However, the review was buried under many one-star reviews.
“Don’t buy this book!” one Kindle customer wrote. “It’s abt throwing her sister under the bus! The abuse towards her sister for money continues…. Don’t give her a platform , she should be ashamed and to do this when her sister has finally gotten some freedoms back …. Pathetic! Mentions Britney’s name over 200 times!”
“More of a tell-all than a memoir,” another user wrote. “While we can’t know the facts behind the scenes, her account of events feels disingenuous and dramatized with a skew towards the author’s moral infallibility. All of the stories are intended to present Jamie Lynn as a bullied martyr, but they end up falling flat when, every time, everyone in the world is at fault but her.”
‘She Wanted To Monetize Her Own Sister’s Pain’
“This book was written by a scammer about a person who is actually hurting,” wrote another. “She wanted to monetize her own sister’s pain, and here it is in book form. I would give zero stars, but it’s not possible. Painful.”
“This book is the story about a corrupt family and how they stayed silent witnessing abuse, exploitation and human trafficking all because of greed,” another wrote. “Wouldn’t recommend buying or reading this book.”
“I read this book and a lot of the things that were stated are lies,” another wrote. “She mentioned things about Britney Spears, Sam Lufti and her old costar Alexi which all publicly called Jaime Lynn a liar. Also, Jaime Lynn stated this book is not about Britney, however she mentions Britney 230 times for clout. I do not recommend this book at all.”
“Now that Britney is out of the conservatorship what does her sister do? Jamie Lynn writes a book of lies and does interviews,” another wrote. “Yet for 13 years she never once spoke up to help her sister. In order to make a few bucks she’s making up stories about Britney hoping people will read it. Even her co-star on Zoey 101 says she lied about their relationship in the book.”
“Jamie Lynn begged Britney to keep their relationship private instead of on social media yet a day later she reads a text aloud to everyone supposedly from Britney,” they continue. “She’s jealous of her sister and it shows. She has never supported Britney yet the whole family lived off her money. Britney is right. Her family is truly toxic. Don’t waste your money on this trash.”
At this time, Britney hasn’t made any new statements about the release of her sister’s memoir, but with former costars speaking out about Jamie Lynn, it does not bode well for her book sales.
Jamie Lynn Spears’ former co star on Zoey 101, Alex Nikolas says she fully supports Britney Spears. She also says the now leaked out book of Jamie Lynn Spears is full of lies and that Jamie Lynn is playing the victim card and is trying to gaslight everyone! #IStandWithBritney pic.twitter.com/y3JatJCY71
