Barack Obama Marks Wife Michelle Turning 58 With The Sweetest Message

Barack Obama is full of love for his intelligent and beautiful wife and "best friend" Michelle Obama.

The doting husband took to his social media with a message of love to his sweetheart as she clocked a new age.

The post also included a sweet picture that is sure to tug on the heartstrings of viewers around the globe.

On Monday morning, January 17, Obama commemorated the 58th birthday of his wife of over two decades with a heartwarming post on his Instagram page.

The Former President of the United States uploaded a beautiful photograph of himself in a white button-down shirt and his wife in a brown top.

Michelle was all smiles and holding a martini while Barack placed a warm kiss on her cheek. The couple's photo was made livelier by the picturesque sunset and beach behind them.

The father-of-two expressed his affection for his longtime spouse in the caption, writing:

"Happy birthday, Michelle. My love, my partner, my best friend..."

The 60-year-old ended his post with an ellipsis as if to say that his wife meant so much more to him than he could put into words.

Michelle did not miss out on celebrating her big day with the world. She took to her Instagram page on Sunday, January 17, with a message of thanks for all the birthday love.

The former First Lady of the US posted a video of herself dancing to Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday." She looked ageless while sporting a make-up-free face and a black headband.

The birthday celebrant was not unaware of all the love on her special day and expressed those sentiments. She penned:

"Here’s to a sweet 58th! Thank you so much for your outpouring of love. Whether you texted, emailed, or posted on social media, every birthday message I received today meant a lot to me."

The mother-of-two added that she is so grateful for the hoard of people cheering her on as she marks her 58th birthday.

Michelle is full of hope and excitement towards her new chapter. She concluded that she is "Looking forward to seeing what this upcoming year has in store. ?"

On the 4th of August, 1961, the 44th President of the United States was born, and 60 years later, in 2021, he planned to host a fun-filled birthday bash.

The Blast revealed that, unfortunately, the Delta variant of the coronavirus had other plans for the political figure's proposed event in Martha’s Vineyard.

The Obamas' spokeswoman Hannah Hankins said in a statement published in The New York Times that the event has been significantly scaled back to include only family and close friends.

The scaled-back festivities may be due to an article from The Post that cited the planned event as a public health nightmare. 

The 60th birthday bash was planned to include over 600 people. 475 were to be guests, while 200 would serve as hired hands.

The invite list was also chock full of reputable Hollywood icons, including Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, and George Clooney.

Barack's former top advisor David Axelrod explained to Times Magazine that the Obamas asked the invitees if they had been vaccinated and requested they get tested proximate to the ceremony.

Nevertheless, the planned 60th jubilee made many Republicans outraged as they felt it represented a double standard from Democrats.

R-Staten Island Representative Nicole Mallotakis told The Post on August 2 that just like every American, Barack should celebrate his milestone without arbitrary government mandates and interference.

Mallotakis added that "if this were President Trump, the left would be screaming.” Arizona rep Andy Biggs echoed the same sentiment, tweeting, “Just imagine if this party was for Trump.”

The Obamas embarked on their annual Christmas trip to Hawaii in December, and the paparazzi were on scene to take photos of Barack's ripped body.

The Blast shared that, despite being in his 60's, the political figure looked fit and muscular while enjoying the blue waters of Hawaii.

A Twitter page shared photos from the trip. Also spotted on stand-up paddleboards with their father in the crystal clear ocean were daughters Sasha and Malia Obama.
