Since his death and days before her engagement, Sweetin has been posting tributes on Instagram in honor of his memory.

On January 13, the "Merry & Bright" actress took to the photo-sharing site to remember the late actor by posting a video of him when he guested on her "Never Thought I'd Say This" podcast with co-host Celia Behar in July.

"We are so grateful to have had the phenomenal Bob Saget on with us in July," Sweetin captioned the share. "He said so many beautiful, and hilarious things in this show that it was near impossible to cut it down for this week’s @youtube. What an incredible, and amazing human you were."

She went on and described the comedian as "A true mensch," adding, "We love you, Bob."

She Was Heartbroken

Sweetin explained the word "mensch" in another post.

"According to Webster’s a 'mensch' is a 'person who can be relied on to act with honour and integrity.' In Yiddish it also means someone who is kind and considerate," she explained.

The actress continued, "Rabbi Neil (author of the book Raising Your Child to be a Mensch) characterizes it as 'responsibility fused with compassion, a sense that one's own personal needs and desires are limited by the needs and desires of other people. A mensch acts with self-restraint and humility, always sensitive to the feelings and thoughts of others.' The word ‘Mensch’ is derived from the German word for ‘Human being.'"

She added, "Bob was exactly that. Human and a true mensch in every language."

The former "America's Funniest Home Videos" host died on January 9. He was found unresponsive inside his Ritz Carlton hotel room by security when he missed his check-out. A day after his death, Sweetin shared a tearful tribute to the actor.

"Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family," she wrote. "Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob. ~ John, Dave, Candace, Jodie, Lori, Andrea, Scott, Jeff, Ashley and Mary-Kate."
