It has been almost a decade since Céline Dion lost her husband René Angélil, but she still misses his presence in her life.
Dion showed that even if her loving spouse is no longer with her, since his passing on January 16, 2006, her heart will go on.
The "That's The Way It is" singer took to her social media page with a warm tribute to the late music producer whose words remain clear in her memory.

On Sunday, January 16, Dion marked the anniversary of her soulmate's passing with an emotional tribute on her Instagram account.
The 53-year-old did not hold back her grief over the passing of her husband, who died at age 74 from a courageous battle with throat cancer.
Dion posted a monochrome photograph of Angélil alongside a touching excerpt from the lyrics of her 2019 single "Courage." She wrote:
"I would be lying if I said I’m fine, I think of you at least a hundred times, cause in the echo of my voice I hear your words just like you’re there… I miss you – Céline xx…"
The mother-of-three buttressed her affection for the father of her offspring by repeating her paragraph and replacing "I miss you" with its french translation, "Tu me manques.’

The "Courage" Singer Recounts Meeting Her Late Husband and Manager
Dion opened up to PEOPLE Magazine about meeting her late husband when she was just 12-years-old. Upon meeting him, she felt much respect and love for him.
Angélil helped utilize the French-Canadian singer's powerful voice to help her become one of today's most iconic musicians.
Dion admitted, “I never wrote my songs. I didn’t even know how to read music or play an instrument,” but her great manager surrounded her with the best people.
A couple of years into their professional relationship, teenage Dion began a romance with Angélil, who was 26 years older. She recounted saying:
“We kind of kept it cool because of my career. I was living that love secretly. When I was at the age to be able to say to people. It was like bang! love! Love always wins.”
The lovebirds were married in 1994 and spent two decades plus one blissful year in holy matrimony. Their union bore three sons, 15-year-old René-Charles and adorable 5-year-old sons Nelson and Eddy.
Late Angélil moved his family to Nevada after securing his wife, an incredibly lucrative performance deal for a residency at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace.
Reflecting on their powerful love, Dion said she met her spouse through the passion of show business and the therapeutic nature of music.

Dion has an army of fans spanning all continents, and they came through with a hoard of support for her planned concert.
Last December, The Blast shared that the "D'eux" singer announced that she had canceled her debut performance for her Las Vegas concert residency.
This unfortunate situation arose from a surprising medical emergency which made it difficult for the Grammy Award winner to rehearse without experiencing “severe and persistent muscle spasms.”
Dion's management indefinitely postponed her highly-anticipated residency after fans expected her first show on November 5, at Resorts World.

The "Encore un Soir" musician broke the news in a statement on Twitter and expressed how broken-hearted she was about not hosting the show.
Dion explained that her team, concert partners, and everyone involved were incredibly sad about the unexpected turn of events. Nevertheless, she had to prioritize her health.
Dion broke the news of her third Las Legacy concert residency for her 2019 album, "Céline," in May 2021.
The residency was meant to be ten days long, but she extended it due to the high demand for pre-sale tickets.
The multi-award-winning performer also noted that the opening show would benefit coronavirus relief. Unfortunately, her altruistic wishes remain on hold.
Dion's management released a statement explaining that she suffers from “severe and persistent muscle spasms" and was forced to take some rest and receive medical treatment.
In a statement shared to her Instagram and Twitter pages, the "To Love You More" musician apologized to her fans for disappointing them.
Dion concluded her message to her fans with, “Now, I have to focus on getting better. I want to get through this as soon as I can.”
