James Holzhauer had a strategy of going all-in on his "Jeopardy!" wagers, which is what helped propel him to the top. Matt Amodio, who set a record of 38 games back in September, also incorporated some of James' strategy into his own run.

"To an extent, I think I'm pushing back a little against some of (Holzhauer and Amodio's) strategies," Amy said. "I decided going in that I was just going to focus on being myself."

Instead, Amy has a few different strategies that she keeps in her back pocket. Fans have noticed that Amy tends to start at the top of one category and then finish it before moving on to another. Amy also admitted that she tends to aim for categories she feels less confident in first. That way, if a "Daily Double" question comes up, she has less money to risk if she gets an answer wrong.

"I've definitely tried to push myself to be a bit more aggressive with what I wager on the Daily Doubles," she admitted. "Just because you should have faith in yourself that you're probably going to know the answer or you wouldn't be on 'Jeopardy!' in the first place."

Many fans have noticed that Amy often wears a pearl necklace and a nose ring when she's competing.

Amy revealed that the pearl necklace was a gift from her girlfriend, Genevieve, on her first birthday after they started dating. She has worn it since the first episode as a way of keeping Genevieve close by.

"It was the first significant time I'd spent apart from her since we'd started dating," Amy explained. "And so having that was just a nice, just sort of comforting reminder that, that she was at home waiting for me."

As for the nose ring, Amy had always avoided getting piercings or tattoos prior to her transition because she was afraid of making a "permanent" change to her body.

"But then, transitioning is also a permanent thing to do to my body," she said. "And so once I'd done that, I was more open to it and just wanted to express myself. I'd always liked nose rings on other women. And so I said, 'Well, let's do it.'"

Although Amy has received a fair amount of harassment on Twitter for being trans, Amy hopes that her run will be inspirational for any young trans fans watching at home.

"You can do anything that you want to do," she said. "Being trans doesn't have to be any kind of limitation. Even if it's something you've never seen a trans person do before, maybe you'll be the first."
