Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas Are 'Busy Practicing' For Baby Amid Divorce Rumors

Priyanka Chopra is shutting down any and all rumors that she and hubby, Nick Jonas, are on the rocks.

The couple, who got married in December 2018 in two lavish ceremonies, are making it known their relationship is nobody’s business but theirs.

Rumors of trouble in paradise began brewing last November after she took off ‘Jonas’ from her social media handles.

She used to go by “Priyanka Chopra Jonas” on social media, but dropped the ‘Jonas’ and all hell broke loose.

The actress appeared in Vanity Fair’s February issue, which was released on Thursday, January 13, where she opened up about her new social media look and divorce rumors.

A main reason she’s switched up her social media aesthetic is due to fan scrutiny.

She explained that the constant scrutiny has changed how she navigates her career and personal life.

"It's a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that's behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate," the Bollywood actress said. "It's just a professional hazard.... Because of the noise of social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don't think it needs that."

Priyanka admitted she’s become much more “guarded” and “introverted” because of the spotlight.

She explained that the spotlight "takes a part of your soul."

Priyanka continued, "Constantly trying to make sure that you say the right thing, do the right thing, dress the right way, not make a mistake, not trip because the whole world is going to watch.”

After all, celebrities are only human.

Priyanka was joined by Jonas during the interview who revealed that they have put “boundaries” in place to ensure they’ve got some sort of privacy.

The boundaries are also in place to "create that little safe haven for ourselves with our friends and family."

So what does the future hold for the very in-love and not-divorcing couple?

Babies of course!

Priyanka revealed that having a child together is "a big part of our desire for the future."

In the event you were wondering if they were actively practicing… well, their schedules are extremely busy, but Nick and Priyanka are “not too busy to practice.”

As previously mentioned, social media went into full investigative mode after Priyanka dropped ‘Jonas’ from her name.

One fan asked, “Not Priyanka Chopra Jones anymore?” while another questioned, “Why changed your name? [sic].”

However, many of the actress’ fans came to her rescue, noting that the name change wasn’t an indication of anything. One angry netizen wrote, “bruhhh Priyanka didn’t just remove the “Jonas” she removed the “Chopra” too from her Insta account y’all should stop theorizing and sh–”

Another user blasted fans who were making a big deal out of the name change, writing, “people so concerned about Priyanka Chopra removing her last name from her insta account Like were you even concerned about your degrading grades ffs? Leave people alone!”

At the time of the name drop, Priyanka was promoting “The Matrix Resurrections,” and many thought her social media move was taking attention away from the film.

One user mentioned, “I hope Priyanka isn’t trending because of her current ig name, i hope it’s because of her movie, cuz if it’s that bad, you all need therapy literally.”

Amid the numerous speculations, Priyanka’s mom, Madhu Chopra, has defended her daughter’s marriage. According to Hindustan Times, Madhu said, “It’s all rubbish, don’t spread rumors.”

The separation rumors come some weeks after Priyanka and Nick put their love on display while celebrating the Hindu festival, Diwali.

As The Blast previously reported, The “Quantico” star uploaded several photos from the festivity, and she and Nick were seen performing some rituals for the spiritual festival.

The lovebirds put on a united front and held hands as they were sprayed with flowers. Chopra wrote in the accompanying caption, “With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi we invite Her grace and abundance into our home. Happy Diwali.”

In another post, Chopra noted that this year’s Diwali celebration was the first one she and Nick celebrated in their home. She then paid tribute to the “Camp Rock” star calling him, “he best husband and partner.”
