2022 seemed to be looking promising for KUWTK star Kylie Jenner, as she added a new achievement to her belt by becoming the first woman to have 300 million followers on Instagram.
PEOPLE reported that being the most followed woman on Instagram officially makes her the Queen of Instagram. The reality star reached this level even with being inactive for about two months.
With that number of followers, she has become the second person with the most followers on Instagram globally, after Manchester United football club’s striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, 389 million followers.
Due to the unfortunate event of the Astroworld Festival whereby lives were lost, Jenner took a break from social media being the baby mama of American rapper Travis Scott.
Although, later in December, on New Year’s Eve, she returned to Instagram. The media personality wrote about how the year went for her, including the good and bad.
She admitted that the year was a significant one in her life, and she would never forget it. The socialite also prayed that the new year would be filled with love for everyone.
Kylie Loses The Second Most-Paid Spot On Instagram
The Blast previously reported that Hooper released Instagram’s Rich list of the year. The list contained Hollywood celebrities with large followers who get paid per post on Instagram.
A few changes were made to the list, including replacing the top two spots involving famous Dwayne Johnson and Jenner.
Kylie was in the second spot behind the famous actor Dwayne Johnson. She had 223 million followers and was getting over $900,000 per post. However, she has gone down to the fourth position.
Johnson had the top spot as the highest-paid celebrity on Instagram, with 225 million followers and an earning of a bit over a million dollars per post.
He lost the top spot to Ronaldo, famously called CR7, who gets $1,604,000 for every post and has the most followers on the new list.
Not being at the top spot of the rich list hasn’t stopped Johnson from being influential. The public never stopped showing how supportive they are of the star.
In April 2021, the poll showed that several citizens of The United States wanted the “Jumanji” actor to become their next president.
Johnson admitted in an interview with CNN that politics was not his calling and he wasn’t in the position to be the president.
Another change that happened to the list was the inclusion of Ariana Grande as part of the top 4. She had 289 million followers and an earning of $1,510,000.
Although, earlier in 2019, the most-followed female spot went to Grande, with about 146.5 million followers. The “One Last Time” singer took the position from Selena Gomez.
The Expecting Mother Is Never Far Away From Controversies
There have been a few speculations about whether Jenner had given birth to baby number two. But with her recent posts, it seems highly unlikely.
Since her pregnancy announcement in September, fans have not been quite believing in the icon’s posts. This was majorly caused by the rumors of throwback photos she seemed to have been posting.
Last Thursday, she shared two photos showcasing her baby bump. In distressed blue jeans and a white blouse. The post’s caption read, “I am woman.”
Jenner’s due date seemed to be early this year, so there’s a good reason for her still being pregnant.
In a report by The Blast, the 24-year-old was seen getting off a jet with her mother, Kris Jenner, but she was covering herself with a blanket.
This led to assumptions about whether she was still pregnant, including that it is inadvisable for heavily pregnant women to travel by air.
Still, on the issue of controversy, it was not surprising when Jenner was trending on Twitter last December because of her pregnancy. But being mentioned in the same tweet as Princess Diana was a shocker.
A fan compared the model to Princess Diana while referring to the King Kylie era. This led to several backlashes whereby several people weren’t so kind with their words.
One wrote, “You’re kidding, right? How many plastic surgeries & procedures did Diana have to become famous & well known? Asking for a friend.”
As The Blast reported, Twitter had quite a day filtering comments while Kylie was on the receiving end of such impassionate statements.
