Jason Momoa And Lisa Bonet Split
In an Instagram update shared by the "Aquaman" actor as Bonet doesn't have a social media account, the pair explained to the public their decision to call it quits after nearly five years of marriage.
"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring," they began.
"And so~ We share our Family news~That we are parting ways in marriage," Bonet and Momoa disclosed in the release.
The now-estranged couple explained that they chose to share the heartbreaking update not because it was "newsworthy" but to be able to go about their lives separately with "dignity and honest."
Despite splitting up, the beloved couple still has an eternal love that "carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived." Instead, they "free each other ~to be who we are learning to become."
Momoa and Bonet declared their "unwavering devotion" to their kids and sacred life regardless of their breakup. They hope to continue teaching their children "what's possible" while "living the prayer." The emotional statement was signed, "May Love Prevail J & L."
Momoa restricted comments under the post, but it has received over 80,000 likes in just two hours. On other social media platforms, fans have expressed sadness about the announcement, with many terming the couple's split as a "conscious uncoupling."

Before their tragic split, Momoa and Bonet were one of the ultimate couple goals in Hollywood with a love story that goes as far back as 2005. Despite a massive age gap, the two made it work and were the envy of many because of their unique bond.
Mutual friends introduced the estranged lovebirds at a jazz club in 2004, and it was an instant attraction for Momoa. In an interview telling their love story, the "Baywatch" alum recalled being blown away by "The Cosby Show" alum.
I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, 'I'm Lisa.' I turned around to my friend and I [pretended to scream]. I had f—ing fireworks going off inside, man. I convinced her to take me home, because I was living in a hotel.
Meeting Bonet at the jazz club was a dream come true for Momoa, who had been crushing on the actress in his younger days after seeing her on "The Cosby Show." After bonding on their mutual love for Guinness and dreads on their first date, the duo became inseparable.
A Journey To Parenthood
About two years after their first dating, the couple welcomed their first child together, Lola, 14, in 2007, and a year later, their son Nakoa-Wolf, 13, was welcome, making them a beautiful family of four.

Bonet was also mother to actress Zoë Kravitz from her first marriage to singer Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz and Bonet were married for six years before they split in 1993.
Bonet and Momoa had a wholesome blended family and often showcased their unique bond on social media from time to time. Kravitz and Momoa also had an enviable friendship.
Bonet and Momoa had a 12-year-age gap, but the 42-year-old actor never shied away from raving about his wife and often described himself as a "lucky man" for snagging her.
