Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly 'Drank Each Other's Blood' To Seal Mystical Engagement

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have taken their relationship to the next level. The famously shipped couple tore up the internet on January 12 when they announced their engagement on social media to the delight of fans.

However, true to the controversial couple's tradition, they performed an unusual and eyebrow-raising ritual to seal their love.

Megan took to Instagram to show off the moment the rapper got down on one knee and popped the big question. In the 25-second clip, the lovebirds were seen standing by the steps of a building before changing locations to underneath a tree.

The "Transformers" actress looked gorgeous in a black bikini top and long skirt ensemble, while MGK donned a striped turtleneck shirt with black pants. Although we couldn't mouth the words the couple exchanged, Megan shared an insight into the proposal in the accompanying lengthy caption.

"In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time," Megan wrote.

She explained that they were unaware of the "work and sacrifices" their relationship would require, but their intoxicated love helped them pull through. The "Jennifer's Body" actress continued, writing,

Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.

However, it was Megan's concluding statement that raised eyebrows. The latest fiancee in town ended the caption with the words, "and then we drank each other's blood." Did the lovebirds actually drink each other's blood, or is that metaphor for their strong bond?

While the thought of MGK and Megan drinking each other's blood seems bizarre, it's not completely unlikely that the couple can't dabble into such a ritual, given their history.

Per The Blast, back in February, on Valentine's Day, the couple made jaws drop when the "Rap Devil" singer revealed that he wears Megan's actual blood around his neck. Alongside several heartwarming loved-up images, MGK uploaded an up-close photo of his necklace pendant with a dot of Megan's blood in the center.

The Texas native captioned the photo, "I wear your blood around my neck," taking bloody valentine to a whole another level. Let's not forget that MGK claimed he stabbed himself to impress the actress before dating.

In December, a similar occurrence was repeated when the pair walked the red carpet chained together by the fingernail.

As we covered, MGK and Fox attended the launch of his unisex nail polish line — UN/DN LAQR — in matching snakeskin costumes with a chain connecting them by the nails. The nail artist behind the look revealed that the couple enjoys coordinating looks to any event. "They like to match… it's their thing," she said.

While Megan showed off the intimate proposal which went down at Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico, MGK was focused on flaunting the massive ring he gave his woman. He gave fans a closer glimpse at the stunning ring, which featured two gemstones in an Instagram upload.

The ring band was made into a love shape with the stones joined together. The unique piece of jewelry was designed by Stephen Webster and had a sentimental connection to the soon-to-be-married couple.

MGK detailed the idea behind the ring in the caption, writing, "I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love."

The couple has since been bombarded with congratulatory messages, with Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Travis Barker celebrating the wonderful news in the comments section.
