The ‘This Is Us’ star took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to the “patriarch” of their popular TV show, and post pictures from the ceremony. The best part, Mandy even shared a picture of Milo posing with BOTH of their stars!
“The heartiest of congrats to my tv hubby and partner-in-crime, [Milo Ventimiglia], on his STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wish I could have been there to celebrate in person but we are in the middle of shooting Season 6 and knowing Mi and how much he loves his job, he’d definitely insist that work comes first,” she captioned several photos from the event.
Milo Ventimiglia Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
She continued, “Congrats on this recognition, and thank you for being a wonderful patriarch and carrying us these last 6 years. Also the fact that our stars are right next to one another?? Come on!!” Of course, she tagged ‘This Is Us’ considering fans are pumped for the new season.
In one of the pictures, Ventimiglia is posing with Justin Hartley and Jon Huertas from the show, which is entering into its sixth and final season. If you have been living under a rock, Moore plays Rebecca Pearson — the wife of Milo’s character — Jack Pearson.
Huertas — who plays a friend of Jack’s [Miguel] — also congratulated his co-star on social media, posting, “Congrats to my friend & colleague @miloanthonyventimiglia for getting a #star on the #hollywood walk of fame!!! And extra thanks for letting me speak so highly of you!”
‘This Is Us’ Stars Pose Together During Milo Ventimiglia’s Induction Ceremony
Hartley opened up recently about the cast growing very close during the taping of the show, telling Today, “We love the show and we love each other,” explaining all of them treated the show the same and “took care of it like it was our child.”
Adding, “When you spend this much time with people, you learn about their personal lives and about their struggles and their history and their legacy and all of that. It becomes something that is this family.”
Amy Sherman-Palladino — creator of ‘Gilmore Girls’ — traveled across the country to speak at Milo’s star ceremony. Arguably, she gave him his first big break in Hollywood, casting him as Jess Mariano on the popular sitcom. Over 20 years later, she spoke at his induction into the elite Hollywood club, saying, “This boy, right here, came to me very young. He walked in scared. He walked in and we didn’t have a part for him, but he walked out the door and I’m like, ‘Don’t let him leave. Take his pass away. Take his keys to his car. We are getting him on the show.”
Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia’s Stars Are Right Next To Each Other!
She continued, “I joke with Milo that if I could’ve had some sort of great achievement, I would have a kid that would turn out like Milo. Instead, I adopted him. I call him my imaginary child. And it’s great because I didn’t have to send him to college or feed him or buy him anything. I just have to say every now and then, ‘Are you wearing a sweater?’ He is wearing a sweater. I really appreciate it.”
The bottom line, Milo Ventimiglia is a great guy — and well-deserving of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
