The Smith family is one of the few families in the United States that have almost all the members in the entertainment industry. Will Smith, the dad, is an American rapper/actor, and his son, Jaden, is also a rapper and actor.
Jada Pinkett Smith, the mother, is an American actress, while Willow, Jaden's junior sister, is an American singer, actress, and dancer. It appears that the kids, Jayden and Willow, followed their parents and are doing well.

Also, they have proven to be as entertaining as their parents – if not more than. Jaden followed his dad's footsteps by pursuing a career in acting and singing. Willow, on the other hand, followed a musical path.
Willow also collaborates with her mother on Red Table Talk, an American television show starring Willow, her mother, and her grandma. Will once compared Jaden and Willow to Johnny Depp and Paris Hilton respectively, what could be the reason?
Will Made His Kids Go Through Due Process In Hollywood
Will once talked about his kids' career, revealing his opinions about why he thinks they went for what they are presently doing. He said he felt that Jaden and Willow had a natural passion for acting. But he is not sure Willow became an actress because of them.
In the interview with Collider, he said that Willow just loved it and not because he and Jada were into acting. He also believed that Jaden was another driving force that led Willow into Hollywood. He said she was inspired by his work in "The Pursuit Of Happyness."
He said she had the drive and the energy because she could easily connect to human emotion, and then after seeing what Jaden did in the movie, she made up her mind to go for it. Will also revealed that he didn't just spoon-feed their roles.
To avoid encouraging nepotism, he made sure they earned every role they played. He made his kids go through auditions and challenges every average actor faces. He said Willow auditioned for her role in "I Am Legend."
The night she got the role in the movie, the whole family gathered, and he broke the news to them. It was a practice in the Smith family to call each other and announce the good things that happened to everybody.
Why Did Will Compare His Kids To American Celebrities?
Although Jaden and Willow once had the passion for showing on big screens while featuring in blockbuster projects in Hollywood, their motives could be different. In the same interview, he revealed that Jaden was more of Depp. On the other hand, Willow was more of Hilton, an American TV personality and actress.
Will explained what he meant with the comparison, stating that Jaden is like Depp, who just wants to do some amazing work, and doesn't mind the attention.

According to Smith, Willow loved the attention and glamor of fame and celebrity status. She is like Hilton; she wants to be on TV making waves. Will jokingly said they are managing both personalities in the house.
Jaden Wanted To Escape The Hollywood Bubble
According to an online outlet, Page Six, Jada and Jaden once discussed why Jaden wanted to leave the house at the age of fifteen. Jada was initially saddened by the thoughts of looking at her son wanting to move out of the house.
She vividly remembered the day like it was yesterday when her son looked straight into her eyes and told her that he wanted to leave the house so that he could live his life. Jada said it was one of the most heartbreaking moments of her life.
Jada quite understood where her son was coming from regardless of her feelings towards his desire at that young age. She remembered telling herself that Jaden was right for desiring to leave the house, and it was the right time.
After Jaden spent some time out of home, he developed new perspectives. He said going out into the world makes you understand many things and appreciate the quality time spent at home with your family.
