Gigi took to her Instagram story to celebrate her mother's big day. She shared a heart-melting childhood photo of her and Yolanda during a day out by the beach.
A young chubby Gigi had her hair styled into pigtails as she snuggled closer to her mother. Yolanda looked younger, wearing her hair in braided pigtails and donning sunglasses with a huge smile on her face.
The striking resemblance between the duo was heartwarming, and Gigi sweetly captioned the post, "happy birthday mamma" alongside two pink love emojis.
Details on how Yolanda would spend her 58th birthday remain unclear as "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star has been on a social media hiatus since October.
A Repaired Mother-Daughter Relationship
Gigi and Yolanda's bond was put to the test last year after news broke that the model's now ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik physically assaulted the reality star.
As you might know, Yolanda accused the "One Direction" alum of hitting her in the home he shared with the model. The case spiraled out of control, and the drama seemingly strained Yolanda and her daughter's relationship.
However, months after the controversy, the pair was reportedly getting along. As The Blast reported, the mother-daughter duo never even argued about the issue in the first place.
A source close to the family said, "Gigi and Yolanda are fine and never had an issue over the incident. At the end of the day, Zayn will be in the families' lives, forever and everyone hopes one day they can all move on."
Zayn Was Charged For Harassment
In the aftermath of the abuse allegations, the "PILLOWTALK" singer denied ever hitting his daughter's grandmother. However, that didn't stop Yolanda from pressing charges.
In late October, Zayn was charged with four counts of harassment against Yolanda and Gigi and pleaded no contest. He finally settled for copping a plea deal. The singer allegedly slammed the 58-year-old into a dresser during an argument at Gigi's Pennsylvania home.
The English singer reportedly endured boundary issues with Hadid matriarch. Zayn was given 360 days of probation and ordered to undergo a domestic violence and anger management class. He also had to pay an undisclosed amount of fines for his erratic behavior.
