Kate Hudson Wishes Son Happy 18th Birthday With Message: 'Outta My Hands'

Kate Hudson's firstborn, Ryder Robinson just turned 18 and the mom, in true momma-can-crack-jokes style, has taken to Instagram to rib her son as a birthday gag.

Of course, Hudson, now 42, barely looks old enough to be a mother to an "adult", because she's not just in good shape, she is in fabulous shape! Here's the DL...

Kate Hudson has decided to take a "dumpy walk" into 2022, but that has not stopped her fans from admiring those washboard abs, and plentiful curves as she climbs up a hill in a swimsuit that shows off gleaming skin.

Here's the "Fool's Gold" actor, very unimpressed by 2021, but not knowing where to go in 2022.

Fans loved the zeal, as one wrote, "Love to see that you are also a regular family/people like us ?❤️ Happy new year!!! You have always been one of my fav actresses❤️"

Hudson is also mom to daughter Rani Rose, aged 3, and son Bingham "Bing" Hawn, who is 10; and can be seen having fun and adventures with all her children. Though she does admit it, Ryder makes her laugh the most.

She captioned it, "And then he was 18 ❤️. My heart is filled with love and excitement for your future. Ryder you incredible, unique, hilarious, loving human, I love you beyond. Happiest Birthday @mr.ryderrobinson PS Now your life is your responsibility and outta my hands! Good luck son!!! ?????"

Wrote one Instagram user, "Beautiful! Except as moms, their lives are never really out of our hands! ?" to which Hudson replied, tongue-in-cheek, "? we’re supposed to let them think otherwise ?".

So while momma Hudson teased her boy on his 18th, the "Mother's Day" star says that it's Ryder who's the actual prankster in the family, and teases her to no end.

Wrote one Instagram user to Kate, "You raised a very loving son. How he is so tender with his baby sister it’s so sweet ❤️❤️❤️".

At the same time, Ryder has a naughty side too.

He makes fun of Hudson when she does her Instagram videos, and in the "Late Night with Seth Meyers" show, Hudson showed a clip where Ryder was pretending to be her. Said the "Almost Famous" star, "I Instagram all of my products, so he makes fun of that."

In the clip, Ryder pretends to be her, saying, sotto voce, "Hi guys, Kate Hudson here. I know you know me because you follow me, I'm so funny. Today we're going to be making a goji berry in a bloom protein shake. It's delicious. I give it to my kids. They love it. My whole family loves it."

Hudson went on to say, "He's also deeply funny. Ryder — I mean, he clearly is gonna probably follow in the footsteps of the family. So, this is like every day for me. Nobody makes me laugh like Ryder, and he just constantly makes fun of me."

Like mother, like son, right?
