The Weeknd Sings About Dating A 'Movie Star' In New Album, Hints At Angelina Jolie Romance

After a long wait, The Weeknd has finally released his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, "Dawn FM." The talented musician has been teasing the project for quite some time.

However, now that it's finally out, fans can't help but notice a strong message the Canadian artist passed in one of his tracks.

"Dawn FM" dropped on Friday, January 7, and the track "Here We Go…Again" has some suggestive lyrics pointing to a current romantic relationship with a movie star. An excerpt of the song lyrics read,

My new girl, she a movie star. My new girl, she a movie star. I loved her right, make her scream like Neve Campbell, but when I make her laugh, swear it cures my depressin’ thoughts, cause baby girl, she a movie star, baby girl, she a movie star.

*Coughs* Of course, no one comes to mind but the iconic Angelina Jolie! As you might know, Jolie and The Weeknd have been fueling romance rumors since their first public outing in June 2021.

As The Blast covered then, Jolie and the "Blinding Nights" singer were seen walking out of Giorgio Baldi, one of the hottest spots in LA, together. Although the pair left in separate vehicles, they reportedly spent hours in the restaurant talking.

At the time, it wasn't sure if the pair was having anything romantic or strictly a business meeting as The Weeknd was looking to break into the acting industry.

Months after their first outing, Jolie and The Weeknd fueled the romance rumors even more after being spotted in another Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica.

As before, the duo arrived at the Italian hot spot separately, but this time they left together after spending three hours together. The "Maleficent" actress dressed to the nines for the outing in a stunning black trench coat paired up with her Saint Laurent heels.

Amid the romance speculations, a source revealed that Jolie and The Weeknd were nothing more than colleagues, given that they are both represented by the same agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment.

When The Weeknd teased his album earlier this week, the "Uncut Gems" actor released a trailer that teased a collaboration with iconic actor Jim Carrey.

As seen in the trailer, Carrey narrated the visuals and reposted the teaser on his Twitter, praising The Weeknd for his work of art. "The Mask" star wrote, "I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel  @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant ,and it danced me around the room. I'm thrilled to play a part in his symphony. ;^•"

Fans were thrilled about the partnership, and since the release of the album, they have been raving about the impressive features and collaboration on the album.
