Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman literally got milk today – while squatting deep and broadcasting it for her 2.1 million Instagram followers. The 26-year-old 2012 “Fierce Five” and 2016 “Final Five” captain, proving she’s still got it, updated her account early on Tuesday with the mother of all workouts as she promoted plant-based protein brand Silk Milk, with the video both seeing Aly working out herself and encouraging fans to submit their “sweaty selfie.” It was beast mode for the former athlete – check it out below.
Scroll for the video, one that marketing execs at Silk Milk are likely laughing all the way to the bank over. Aly, who is hugely into gardening and meditation, had ditched the seedling talk today, instead slipping on her sneakers, showing off her incredible body, and walking fans through a workout you don’t need to be a gymnast to do.
Addressing fans from her home and on a yoga mat, Aly explained that “sticking with your home workout routine can be challenging.”
Aly, promising to take fans through an “ULTRA sweat session,” put her money where her mouth it, dropping it low and stretching from the floor in tight dark leggings and a simple white top, kicking off with a “quick Body Scan” as she brought awareness to herself, but it got more hardcore as Aly got on all fours for massive steel buns training, also including calf lifts and squats.
A bit of a HIIT ensued as Aly did 45 seconds of fierce squats before taking a break.
Shouting out 28-time Olympic medalist Michael Phelps, also joining her, Aly took to her caption, writing: “Ready for an Upgrade? It can be hard to work out from home – to find motivation, the equipment you want, and you may not know what to do. @m_phelps00 and I are joining @Silk ULTRA to show you some of our favorite workout exercises.”
“50 ULTRA Upgrades to level-up your at-home fitness space” were also up for grabs – see her stunning bikini body after the video!
Aly, who has made 2021 headlines for her hot tub workout and beachy throwbacks, might seem in fighting shape now, but it was a different story after the 2016 Olympics, when the gymnast admitted she was so low, she could barely “walk.” Late 2020 brought Raisman revealing how gentle exercise Pilates had gotten her back to health, with the star now a regular in promoting it.
Meanwhile, fellow Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has been flaunting her massive bikini thigh gap. Scroll for it!
