Salma Hayek has been targeted as a romantic photo of her kissing her billionaire husband for Valentine’s Day attracts unwelcome comments. The 54-year-old actress, married since 2009 to François-Henri Pinault – worth an estimated $44 billion – updated her Instagram over V-Day with a kissy, loved-up shot, one that proved a rarity as the “Frida” star tends to keep her man off the ‘Gram. Salma’s 17.4 million followers seemed to have thoughts. Not all were nice. Check it out below.
Scroll for the Valentine’s kiss. It comes some months after the above photo made headlines, with 2020 seeing Hayek share a rare pool stack, also featuring now 13-year-old daughter Valentina. Salma’s husband owns Kering group, a company itself owning mega brands including Gucci and Bottega Veneta.
Salma’s photo, casual and carefree, showed her smooching up to her husband in a protected and shabby-chic outdoor setting. The Mexican, hiding her black bikini-clad curves with a lacy white cover-up, showed off love instead.
Salma, who reached right up to Pinault’s cheek for a lovey peck, was met by a smiling reaction as her husband grinned for the camera, seen looking pretty casual in a dark t-shirt and shades. Using only a hashtag for her caption, Hayek wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The trolls appear to be alive and well. Topping comments is a reply reading: “That’s what money do for a dude ???.” Salma was also told that she can “do better,” with other remarks also not flattering her husband.
The NBA also wound up in the comments as one fan wrote: “? At quick glance thought that was Larry Bird ??????,” although others were quick to defend Hayek.
“Money wouldn’t make her stay, put her body through giving him a child and keeping her body in GREAT shape (which is really f’n hard for latin women after carrying a baby) all the way up to now AND NEVER cheating on him,” one fan wrote. And their words would be true. Salma doesn’t want a dime. See it below.
Salma seemingly has no interest in her husband’s bank balance, having opened up to Allure to confirm it. “I have a system in my life that I’ve chosen, where my expenses from before the marriage are my expenses,” she said, adding:
“And he goes, ‘I know. That’s why I want to marry you. Maybe that’s also part of what works great in my marriage. I still have my independence. But he likes it. I get a lot of respect from him.”
