Dove Cameron has admitted her own mind is blown, and she did it in a fluffy white bathrobe last night. The 25-year-old actress and singer was directly addressing the latter on Friday night as she marked another major milestone for her 2020-released “We Belong” track – while the former Disney star’s ethereal music video hit 20 million views ahead of Christmas, it’s now surpassed 30 million. Dove took to Instagram last night with a gushing thanks for fans, and she admitted it was too much for her head. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. Dove, followed by 39.5 million on her IG, caused a major hoopla with the release of “We Blong” last year, a track written about 25-year-old now-ex boyfriend Thomas Doherty, but penned before the couple of nearly four years broke up. “The Descendants” star’s Friday night video, a selfie, showed her stunning the camera all angelic and with those famous cherub features on show as she posed indoors, backed by a walled TV, and clutching her heart.
Dove, looking like a total doll, began: “Hey guys, I just wanna stop by and say thank you SO much, from the bottom of my heart.” The Emmy winner, made up but not overly so, added: “Um, for…Getting We Belong to 30 million. My mind is just blown.” Dove added: “I love you so much” and promised “really exciting stuff coming” as she knocked the camera dead.
Dove, who said “it’s because of you guys it’s all possible,” then seemed lost for words, reminding her followers that they “move” her every day.
If you haven’t seen the video for “We Belong,” it’s not your regular, and it certainly ain’t hip-hop babes grinding against a Lambo in thong swimwear. The goddess-like footage features Dove in a sheer pink fairytale-dress as the blonde twirls around, arches her back, and takes in sunrise vistas from full-length windows. It even sees the Flawless Beauty face appearing to smash an avocado cake.
In December, and marking 20 million views and over 2 million streams, Dove shared a little on the BTS. See the bikini body below!
Wrapping 2020 up with thanks to fans, Dove took to Instagram, saying:
“Your reactions have been incredible, and Luke and I had such a fun time shooting the video. It makes it all the more special you guys are loving it as much as we loved shooting it. We wanted to give you a little peek at the behind-the-scenes to give a little thank you, and have an amazing holiday season. I love you.”
