“Jackass” star Bam Margera says he is in a better place emotionally and is admitting that he flipped his lid on social media and now needs to get some real help. 41-year-old Margera took to Instagram Friday morning, the day after he made headlines for posting some seriously heated videos about the production of “Jackass 4.” Bam had initially called for a boycott of the movie, and even claimed he was having suicidal thoughts after believing he was being left out of the planning and production.
“Morning everyone, I have some good news. I realize I’m manic bipolar,” Bam Margera revealed to fans in a new video on social media.
He continued, “Yesterday, I had to go so batshit bonkers crazy for not knowing and answer the last year and a half whether we’re doing Jakcass 4. I had to deal with the madness to finally know the answer. Now I know exactly what I want and it’s f-cking awesome and It’s going to be in a way where everyone wins in the end.”
He wasn’t totally clear, but it sounds like Bam is back on for “Jackass 4.”
Bam Margera has been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health over the past few years. He has admitted to having bipolar disorder, and has shown similar manic behavior on social media. In 2019 the “Jackass” star was involved in a public spectacle that ended with a special on Dr. Phil and a trip to rehab.
Bam has said that he has stayed clean, and now says he is seeing a specialist to deal with his bipolar disorder.
“Seeing a bipolar specialist today, to get that underway and other than that we just have to find a time and place to film all this rad shit. and you’re all involved.”
Get well soon, Bam.
