Meredith Marks was just seen in the first installment of her the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” season one reunion special and ahead of the taping, she spoke to Page Six about the thought that went into her look and opened up about the “stressful” but “fun” filming session with her cast mates.
“As everyone kind of knows, my aesthetic is the blazer and bell pant, and I definitely wanted something that would tie back to that,” Marks, 49, explained of her Fadwa Baalbaki reunion gown.
Meredith Marks Considered Several Designs
While Marks, a jewelry designer, loves a pantsuit, she and her cast mates were expected to wear dresses to the taping. So, she and her team considered a number of different looks before settling on the gold and black number she wore to the 12 hour event.
“I had to be in a dress, so we kind of created a couple of designs that would tie back to that look, submitted them, and got the one I wore approved,” she shared.
Meredith Marks Came To The ‘RHOSLC’ Taping With ‘Reciepts’
Speaking of the drama that fans will soon be seeing on the remaining episodes of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” reunion, Marks said that she and her cast mates all brought “receipts” to the taping.
“Of course, after watching the full season, I went back and looked through my notes that I had taken. Then I rewatched some of the episodes. The early ones, I had already watched multiple times anyway, so I really wasn’t as concerned with those,” Marks explained of her bookkeeping.
Meredith Marks Planned To Use Her Voice, Not Her Receipts
“But some of the later ones,” she continued, “I had to go back again, and after I had everything I just organized it into little batches.”
Although Marks prepared herself for the taping with evidence to back up the points she planned to make, she didn’t want to have to present any of her proof to the group.
“I went in with the objective of not ‘showing’ anything, ‘receipts’ or whatever — I wanted to just use my voice. And I’m not looking to tear anyone down. I like to build women up, I like to support other women, I like to see other women succeed. That’s my thing,” she shared.
Meredith Marks Had Certain Expectations For Her Cast Mates
Still, despite her love of women, Marks said that when it came to the cast, she wasn’t prepared to allow anyone to disrespect her.
“I also have certain expectations — of being treated with a level of respect. And if I had to resort to the evidence, I had it, but it wasn’t something I wanted to do,” she admitted.
